Cooking trim twice

I just made cannabutter with 4oz of trim to a lb. I noticed though that after straining my plant material out, there were still lots of visible trichs.

Does this always happen or should I run the plant material through more butter?

How long did you "cook" the butter for?

ya that^^^^^^^...if you let it cook long enough there shouldn't be much left...
