Cooking Brownies With Cannabutter?

Hey all we're in the process of making some cannabutter here and just wondering if we can cook the butter with brownie mix at 350 degrees without degrading the THC or if we should pursue an alternative method of injesting the butter

Short answer: cooking at 350 will ruin it.

Even though the recipe calls for 350 degrees you can get away with a bit less like 325 and bake it a bit longer.

The oven will be around the temperature to degrade the THC but the brownie mix will not get that hot. You can check it with a thermometer.

For example if you are cooking a pork roast or something like that it is usually done when the internal temp reaches 160 or so even though your oven has been set at 350 for an hour. The brownies are much less dense so will heat up more than a roast but they will never get hot enough to degrade your THC.

I always bake mine at 350 and never have had any problems, usually they are too potent not too weak.
