Converted to Raised Beds & Living Soil and No Till

After decades of growing, I finally did away with rooms full of plastic pots and went to raised beds by Grass Roots Fabric Pots. My soil of choice is Big Rootz by Soil King. There's a lot of tricks this old dog needs to learn; trellis, no till, living soil, worm composting etc.
Beds are 4 x 8, with 3 beds per 6 light room. Rooms are 12 x 18.

You'll be glad you did. My current room is a wall to wall soil bed - although, not as big as yours. One of the best growing decisions I've ever made. Getting colas to stack like never before. My final goal, is a true SOG with 4 plants per sq ft. Time will tell though.

Click the link in the lower right, don't want to bomb your thread with pics. ;)

Can you tell us more about "Big Rootz" by Soil King. I've never heard of that.

Looking forward to this grow! :lurk:

A while ago I saw a video where this guy had soil in a container and had a cow patty on top. The containers had a plastic cover. Is that living soil? They were in a greenhouse and plants were beautiful.

I have access to lots of meadow muffins here. Lol

I’d love to run a bed...

I know everytime I’ve grown plants in big 20 gallon tote they’ve came out beautiful and with very large buds....

I just like to move my plants around...

I'd like to try but my room is on the second floor and I don't want to see if the floors can take the weight.

Speaking of weight I wonder if those platforms you built are up to it? How does it look after watering?

Good luck with your new system!
