i have the Sentinel CTC-1, which is the same exact thing as the CPPM-1, but with temperature control. I use it with a 50LB tank and it keeps the room at a constand 1400 ppm

it works excellent, basically just plug and play after you calibrate it. My friend wants it back so i am probably going to go with the CPPM-1 as well, because i dont need temp or humidity control

I've had my cap ppm-3 for about two years now,it is the cheapest and seems reliable.I dont use digital ballasts though.What flower room temps do you all keep with 1500PPM?Anyone use a lazer thermometer to check canopy temps?Do you go by canopy temps or ambient temps?

I have the CPPM-1, and I haven't experienced any cons. Works very well.

Dunno where Badugi gets his, but that's where I got mine. $450 is reasonable, IMO.

As far as the CHHC-1 is concerned, if you're running a dehumidifier and an A/C, I would go with separate component controls so you're not stuck on the same circuit.

cppm-1 is a nice unit aswell if you do not need cooling and humity controls but would highly recommend chhc-1 if it is in budget

Hi, I'm still around. Just real busy, and caught up in things lately...

stoney419, apples vs. ceramic penguins. Location of manufacture or assembly doesn't necessarily have to do much with final product quality. Most of the C.A.P. environmental control line is now an archaic, dying breed (IMO) and is based on very old technology and (many analog) components.

According to my growshop girl who's very knowledgable and cool you want to stay away from the green air controllers she's had a lot of problems with them coming back.Welcome to the world of controlled gas you'll never go back!

Been using the ppm2a, from C.A.P., for 3 years--not one problem.

Plug it in, set it forget it!

This was not the case with their ppm3---This controller would seize up and hold the solenoid open and dump my entire tank. I woulde check them just before lights out to find the co2 at 8000ppm , the tank empty and the solenoid hot and locked on.

By the way there were only core and coil ballast at the grow, so it wasn't a electronic ballast that was jacking the thing up.

Returned the unit twice, same problem. Upgraded to the PPM2A, The "fuzzy" logic controller and never had a problem with gas control since.

Thats too bad man it seems some of the PPM-3's are just not well made,I must have gotten lucky.It did seize open one time after months of no use but after I killed power to it and turned it back on its worked properly.Its been close to two years now.If you can afford it I'd go with a better model but its treated me pretty well so far.

I use cap for my atmosphere controller with a sentinel cppm1 and am loving it at the moment. From what i heard the makers of sentinel worked for cap and moved on and started their own line. Yea i just got the ngw wholesale catalog and noticed cap products arent in there.

Also i have spoke with their tech support at sentinel and they were really helpful. I would recomend sentinel.

i'm about to make this move too. CO2 will be a huge expense.

no wonder most dont get into this aspect.

So worth it though, especially if Fuzzy Logic is involved. There's nothing like walking into your room and seeing "1500" in bright red, reminding you of money well spent.

i can no longer recommend the cap-3.. after 6-8 months of no problems the unit started sticking in the open position. damn co2 levels were over 9999 ppm enough to kill me & the lpants.
