Stumbled upon this website--http://drugs.globalincidentmap.com/. It graphically displays various incidents (worldwide) and scrolls summary info of the last 100 events.

A total of 14 incidents are tracked (most without subscription) including--
Drug Interdictions
Forest Fires
Disease Outbreaks
Gang Activity
Human Trafficking

Very interesting....seems that a lot never gets published in newspapers.

Cheers!

Police in Sterling, Ill., say they arrested a man on marijuana charges on Tuesday night, August 20, 2013.

The investigation dates back to 2012, when police stopped by the home in the 1400 block of Third Avenue, as part of their Knock and Talk program.

At the time, police asked to enter the home, but the resident refused and told them to get a search warrant.

Well, they did, and 46-year-old, Robert Grikmanis was arrested and is charged with unlawful production of cannabis.

Police said he had between 50 and 200 marijuana plants in the house.

I have been looking at that site once a week for a year. It always does a great job of
relieving paranoia for me.

Rats, stinking up the hood, domestic disputes, leo responding to random burglaries, stealing power, grow shop surveillance and landlords snitching seem to make up for about 95% of all indoor grow busts.

Minimize as much as you possibly can on all those fronts and it is pretty hard to get pinched.
