when growing out doors in containers if your in a place that can get a lot of rain, is it a good idea to cover the container to stop excess water keeping the soil to damp?
altho it would seem to be a good idea after the plant has grown some the leaves will block some of the rain... I have never had a decent size plant in container get overwatered by rain alone... IMHO..yeehaw..maybe if you was in some monsoon rainy season somewhere I aint familiar with...as I don't have experience with really excessive rain for long periods..
well had a couple days of very heavy rain and noticed the coir husk mulch on top was soaking, the plants look healthy no droopy leaves, there pretty big and dense so i guess they will stop most of the rain falling into the pots. also had some leaf damage.. wondered if it was some kind of insect damage?
