Started out as cash only many years ago.
Then went to money orders, whether they were Western Union or Postal, etc..
These days, as rarely as I order any seeds, it's nearly exclusively credit card, though I typically only deal in more recent years with sources that are USA based, or whose shipments of seeds enter into the USA without names attached, in bulk, then they're parceled out to addresses based on codes, so the 'link' or connection is less visible.

As a vendor you should look to keep your payment options open.
