Got my materials the other day to make my 1000w flower box. It is 4X3X6, the frame is 2x4's and the plywood is 1/2 in. I have a Sun systems sealed hood that I will be placing my 1000w hps in. For my exhaust I have 2 180cfm squirrel cage fans, one will vent the hood and one will vent the box. I have a 11000 btu A/C unit that has a digi stat that will go into the side of the box. A 10" oscillating fan for circulation, and a humidifier to keep the humidity stable. Here we go......

I'll see what I can come up with tonight. They are just lil seedlings on their fourth set of leaves. I'm doing some mother grow outs right now from seed. Should be some fun. I'll let you know.

That is a real solid looking box man, I give you props on the construction alone, but I had a 1000 watt box a while back that I use for males now but when it was my main box the thing never ever had temps that were out of line and that was with a 9000 btu portable a/c. As far as what you have said is going in the box you should be better then fine and be growing the HUGEST colas in no time, hey that rhymed LOL:eek: . GOOD LUCK

Thanks alot Kush. I have already caulked the entire inside, and am starting the painting process. I hope your right about the temps, I am way excited about what I start producing. I will throw up some pics in a day or so. SP

I did the same thing by building a box. Heat buildup and moisture/humidity were the only real factors to worry about.

If you have an air cooled hood it cuts it down significantly. Air circulation is important (I lost a plant to bud rot). Your 2 180cfm fans should do the trick.

I sealed the doors with that foam weatherstripping for an air and light tight fit.

Keep up the great work man
