Constantly Changing Temp In Tent??

Hey Everyone,

I have a 5x5 tent with AC ducting into the tent.

I have a constantly changing temp. of 4.5 degrees (70F - 74.5F). I recently found 2 out of 5 hermed (1 was a bagseed and 1 was a fem seed). I was wondering if this could have contributed to it.

I have the AC on temp control since it's outside the tent. It takes around 4.5 minutes for the actual AC to turn (not just the fan).

I know constantly changing temps aren't good, but was wondering since its only a 4.5 degree change and it's in an optimal temp range (nothing extremely high or low) it's ok or do I need to find a way immediately to stabilize it?

The plants don't look stressed at all to the eye, they look very healthy. As I stated above I did find 2 herms around week 2 of flower.

Thanks

probably a light leak more than temps...or the genetics...i don't think a 5 degree temp swing would do anything to stress the plant enough to herm..DJ

Iv run a 4x4 gorilla tent with ac directed in and while getting it dialed in my temps varied from lows of 65f to as high as 85f, with clones, and no hermies... the highs and lows have been temporary and not sustained. Most of the time, Runs around high 70s.

Going with djxx, light leaks most likely, if it's 2 different strains. Go in the tent if you can see your hand in front of your face it's not light tight.

If I'm reading this properly, you seem to be getting a fluctuation in your temp while lights are on? But it's only 4-5 degrees? If that's the case, no it wouldn't be the cause of your hermie nor is it anything to worry about. The change most Growers have problems with is keeping the difference when the lights turn off close to when the lights are on. Even then you'll see a 10-20drg drop.

Personally, I have an exhaust system that's technically "overkill" for what I'm growing in my 4x4 tent but it keeps a nice negative pressure, I know the air is being cycled often and my temp and humidity is like clockwork. It's a big ass charcoal scrubber and a powerful fan, o forgot the cfm but I remember using he formula and leaving some room for error.

Genetics are a very good possibility that it's a genetic trait. Many great strains will throw a manner here or their.

Everyone is pretty on point.
Gentics or a possible light leak would be the only reason you get a hermie. Also in my experience with fem seeds is they are like 65% chance of female and a 35% chance on a hermie. Its because the way that seeds are feminized.
