This is going to be a complete change of scene for me. Normally I'm an indica guy, but I've been doing nothing but indicas for over a decade now. This is not only to avoid the complaints I get when I turn up somewhere and put everyone to sleep, but also to give me a chance to get some new tastes onto my palette.
So I received my Connoisseur collection, and here is what I got.
10 Chemwreck
11 NYC Jones x OG Chem
10 Cheese Dog
6 ECSD x SSS
and 10 Strawberry Dogshit (which really caught my eye)

So The plan was to pop 2 of the strawberry dogshits, but OJD pointed out that the very latest thing to hit was the ECSDxSSS and so I'm popping 1 of the dogshits and when thats up, I'll pop an ECSDxsss and then see whats going on to see what to pop next. Probably the Jones. I like a steady stream to leave the cab, as I'm shit at self control and hate waiting too long for the next harvest. So these will be staggered starts, which should at least mean there's always something to photograph. Although they are just seeds now, so nothing to photograph lol, sorry.
Anyway, just reserving my thread space, that way I'm locked into doing the thread. It's going to take me ages to grow all these out, as I'll still be running my indys on the side, so grab a seat, make yourself comfy, and wait for the show to start

944 good to see you in here mate, I'm looking forward to this. So you were so happy you went back again hey, that's got to be a good sign for that strain.

So just so I know my dates, the SDS has a tail and went into compost 20 mins ago, still wearing its hat. The ECSDSSS (that needs a name) is now sitting in a sleeping bag of wet bog roll.

thanks for the nudge lol.
yeah I have 2 plants up and running now. I had to pop 3 seeds to get the 2nd up as while they all popped (in wet paper towels) the 2nd, the one I was being really careful with, got launched across the room in a domino / lever incident of items crashing over on my desk when I knocked one thing over. I searched, but i couldn't find the damn seed. So I had to pop another. I was most annoyed because I had checked it an hour earlier and thought " oh nice, it's got a tail, I must plant that in a minute" but didn't get the chance. Still, so far the seeds are spot on. 3 seeds, 3 seeds popped. 1 domino rally, 2 plantlings basking under an 11w cfl.

so, before I post the pics, a quick disclaimer.
It's sooooo fckin hot. I'm melting here at the mo, so there's just no way I can survive with the 400W HPS running. These have stayed under the 11w CFL, appart from the days when the sun was bright, when they sat on the bathroom window ledge. They are fine and happy, and they will be fine when I put the work in with them, they aren't being rushed, they are just behind where you may expect them to be for their age due to extremely restricted light. So, after that, here they are.

Well finally the temps have died down a bit, and so it's time for the HPS to come out of hibernation. Thought I had better document the moment that they stopped relying on a single cfl and a local star for their light.

Well after spotting balls on my Strawberry Dogshit, and sending OJD a mail to say, er.... Houston, we have a problem, he has informed me that what I thought may be a femmed strain, was actually standard male/female. So after the old heart calmed down a little, I took a few pics for you all.

Yes there is now another SDS seed in soak. No I wont be culling this immediately, I will be collecting a little pollen for the freezer. I have cut back a lot of the branches, as I want all of the energy to go to pollen production now, before it gets taken out.

The really interesting thing is the speed with which the plant showed sex after going under the HPS. I swear there were no signs at all, and within 3 days, well that's ^ what could be seen.

One side of the topped plant was taken as a clone and seems to be rooting. Here's the rest of that one, now with 4 tops.

And since the last Strawberry Dogshit was male (is male, still growing but no pollen dropping yet), I planted another along with the NYCJxOG Chem. I can't wait for these 2 to grow up. Neither hung about in their shell too long before saying hello.
