Congo Haze (Kiwi seeds)

Hi fellow IC maggers!

I want to give a short review about this very nice Sativa. It´s a cross between Red Congolese and Nevilles´s Haze.

First of all, I had a bad germination ratio of only 50%. These seeds were a special offer (end of stock) on the Bou, so they might been a little older. They were labeled feminized but 3 weeks into flower 3 of the 5 plants showed male sex! Not hermie plants, real males. I was quite set up and contacted Kiwi seeds, but never got any response...

Nonetheless, one female made it till the end and yielded more than 200 grams of fruity, hazy bud. The smoke is very smooth on the inhale and it tastes like it smells, like sweet Mango mixed with Haze. For me it´s a perfect blend.

The high is strong Sativa up with some trippiness. The more you smoke the higher you will get. It really has no ceiling and it´s perfect for listening to music or socialising. No matter what you smoked before, the Congo Haze cuts thru everything.

I would rate it´s potency and smell/taste 9/10. Really one of my favourite herbs right now.

(Un)fortunately It had some intersex traits and pollinated itself. So now I have enough seeds to play for years and years

So how long did you flower her, and when are you putting some seeds up on the Bay?

I took her at 14 weeks. Not all pistils were brown, but some sativas just put on new pistils forever... I didn´t consider putting them on seedbay due to the intersex traits, but If I do so, I will let you know!

Nice man, i bought these too w/ the EOL stock.
I also bought a reg pack of their mexican haze.

You´re right, not a lot of people (at least over here at IC) are growing Kiwi´s Strains. Heard good stuff about the Mexican Haze. Tried it once in Amsterdam, but it wasn´t grown well (probably unflushed), so I can´t really comment on the quality of the strain. Also smoked their Alegria, Tasman Haze and Mako Haze. Despite the Mako Haze (poorly grown) I really enjoyed smokin´ them!

Wish you good luck with the beans! (The Congo Haze are probably regular seeds, so have a close eye on them, but they are worth growing anyway)
