Just finished up growing Congo from Ace Seeds.
Let me begin at the ..... Beginning. Got a pack of 12 regular Congo seeds.
Set up was-
1x600w HPS
1x1000w HPS ( both lights 6" air cooled by 495 cfm inline)
7'x12' room ( left a lot of room to work)
Medium-
Strait Canna Coco.
3-5 gal pots
Nutrients-
Complete Canna line
Cal-mag+
Potassium Silicate
Environment-
Day time temp 78 high, usually around 73
Night time 60 low, usually around 65
Humidity 60 high 45 low.
Started off slow, but that was mainly me getting used to the canna nutes. Vegged for 6 weeks. 50% m/f ratio. They ranged from 2-3 feet.
Takes a long time to show signs of flowering. Took about 6weeks to start real nug development. 3 phenos were obvious.
Pheno 1- definantly had the most indica influence. Went a full 10 weeks. Extremely dense and a lot shorter than the other two. Bud was barrel shaped. With high bud to leaf ratio. Yielded 85g.
Pheno 2- a super sativa. Grew to be 5ft tall (2ft taller than #1) went over 12 weeks. Considerably more whispy than the other two phenos. Although it was set in the corner because its height. Did not check weight, pretty low tho.
Pheno 3- closer to pheno 1 than 2. I took it down at 10 weeks although it needed 11. Taller than 1 shorter than 2. Buds were spear shaped just a hair less dense than pheno #1. Had more trichomes than than the other two. Yielded 66g.
Smoke report-
1- my favorite for sure. Very outgoing pot, working weed. Smells citrusy and chemmy. Tastes exotic. Like you took a bite of Africa.
2- was not properly cured so its tough to say. Gave most away to a patient. Wasn't worth my time it was axed from the room.
3- very similar to 1 as far as high is concerned. Taste and smell was a hint more fruity. Wasn't as dense but a pleasure to smoke.
