confused about measure Gr/M2

I confess that i am amateur ... i need help. I am SO confused about gr/m2 that all the indoor seeds contain. I bought 6choco fondue DNA seeds which says 500-600 gr/m2 indoor . i did it indoor with cocopit soil and sensi dung ( sensi grow and sensi bud) with a lot of care under 5X400W MH and then HPS. They became tall about 150 Cm totally healthy and smell were perfect. I tried my best to flow the book "Bible of buds" .however, when i calculate the wight i found i got 90 gr per plant after dry ... but i expect 500 gr!!!!!
My questions are ;
1- did i miss somthing about gr/m2 ????
2- i used 3 gallons bucket for mother plant ... is that a problem to reach the max yield?

so, the estimates you are going for are referencing canopy area. essentially they are saying if you have a 3x3' canopy with proper lighting, uniform light distribution and proper feeding you will achieve around an lb per 600w light (standard for a 3x3 space).

You reference your yield per plant. yield per plant is irrelevant when talking about indoor flower production. you should only be concerned with your yield per square footage and wattage, just as the estimates that you were looking to reference suggested.

"i used 3 gallons bucket for mother plant" are you asking if restricting growth to the plants you take your clones off of directly correlates to the yield of said clones? well that's a solid no..... i think you are confused about not only terms, but about agriculture in general. Lots of reading materials available on this site alone for you to get a better grasp on things

Also, it's probably 500-600 gr/m2 in perfect test conditions. Something not easy to replicate without proper growing gear and experience.

Not if there are legal restrictions on number of plants.

The g/m2 listed on most breeders is for SOG style growing.

Actually High Grade Only is correct. Canopy is what matters not number of plants. 1 Plant in scrog covering 3x3 area should yield approximately the same as multiple plants in SOG covering the same area.

So when you look at what a breeder says a strain should yield you have to remember that that means a completely filled canopy and perfect environment and growing conditions. Most likely with addition of CO2 as well.

Lighting will make a big difference also. You will not yield nearly the same with CFL as you will with a 1000w HID.

I am finding for myself that I am averaging 360g in a 2'x4' grow area with 2 plants. (approx .75m2) Roughly 1/2 what the breeder suggests. I am however new and not running CO2 and have not had anywhere near perfect grows.
