If you have an illness any doctor will sign.

Most people get rejected because they refuse traditional methods of treatment and try and jump on to the MM thing right away.

Most Cat 1 people I know never complain about finding Dr's. They usually try and use traditional methods and then ask the Dr.

It's usually Cat 2 patients that bitch and moan. Mostly due to the fact that want to grow first and get better second.

If I was a physician, I wouldn't sign a card either for wrist pain or migraines until my patient had tried my treatment first.

Oh, and yes, I do know a Dr in Kamloops that is MM friendly.

That is just it, you have to try all treatments first ,as specially if you are Cat 2. I have been taking all different types of prescription drugs , even ones that arn't usually used to treat my condition like malaria medications , and parkinsons meds , "the side effects out way the benefits" ,

Here is the quote from the actual B2 form on HC website...

" b. conventional treatment(s) for the Category 2 symptom(s) have been tried or considered, and have been found to be ineffective or medically inappropriate for the treatment of the applicant. "

Don't forget the CMPA waiver when going to talk to your doc...

" The Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) has developed a "Release Form for Medical Practitioners". This form is available on the CMPA website http://www.cmpa-acpm.ca. "

It is easier as a b1, as you only need a gp. For b2, a specialist as well...

Best of luck to you...

Edit : The waiver can be difficult to find on cmpa website, so here's a direct link...not usable in Quebec tho.

Yeah but the Specialist only needs to know that you are using Cannabis or plan to use Cannabis and that it is the most medically appropriate treatment. The specialist does not need to agree with the course of treatment.

Don't forget it's your body not the docs. He/she doesn't actually know what's best for you. You know what's going on with your own body! Don't let them brainwash you.

Try the Do No Harm Clinic in BC. Google it. Good Luck.
