Comic con...... What am I letting myself in for?

Ok.
My 14 year old boy has got himself 2 tickets to comic con, and rather than take any of his friends he has decided he wants to take his ol dad.

Have to say I am honoured and a little surprised at this, and it will be good to spend the time with him- but I have never been into comic books etc. So am a little unsure about what to expect.

Any input would be well received, I feel a little unprepared.

I suggest that you prepare for Comic-Con by dressing up as your favourite super-hero, then attending as that entity, with your son. I'm sure he will get a kick out of it....lol

I was dragged to my first one last year. I try and find the pics.

There will deffo be lots of people wearing next to nothi g tho.

I even found a stoner type booth with tshirts and some other cool 420 schwagg.

A lot of merch to separate you from your hard earned cash, actors doing q&a's, lots of excited nerds. Should be an absolute blast, have fun

Hey....don't knock it till you've tried it, you may end up being a BABE-MAGNET dressed as Batman, or maybe the costume Batman's side-kick Robin wore in the old 60's TV series?....it might suit you.

I was thinking about taking my lil 2 year old girl along , give Mrs B a day off but I think all the people in costume might freak her out.

oh yeah.its all about the babes.that alone is worth it.i wouldnt dress up myself but some of those guys really put alot of money and effort into there costumes.i would find out what characters your son likes and go from there like buying a tee shirt with that character or something.man i remember i was 5 or 6 and going to one of the first ones in Chicago.i got pictures with ALL the half naked babes!! it was awesome!

Funny you should mention anime , it was pretty much all my boy was interested in.
I even asked him " who the hell is this Anna-may anyway?" Don't think he got it.

Main thing is , we have a happy son- and happy kids = happy wife so it's all good. Got a possibility of some guest only tickets for a marvel event later in the year ( if they come through) so hopefully he will be smiling then too.

I am home and smoking some green crack, very good for the head.

I expect half these girls only look hot because they are painted blue and in a mask

Besides which I am very happily married to a lovely woman .... Had enough years of flaky girls to know that most of em ain't worth the headfk.
