so i went to work at 7 this morning and made sure to check on my baby which all was well. then i get home at 4 this afternoon and the leaves are starting to turn yellow and brown and dry out. i doubt its cause its too close to the light or too warm cause its been where it is for about a weeks now. could it possibly be because the soil is too warm? shes was watered 3 days ago with 1/4 strength nutes and wasnt dry by anymeans today

Growing details:
medium: soil
brand: miracle grow
INDOOR
strain: dunno it was from a bag od 60$ and 1/8
how old: plant is about 4 months old (febuary 2nd (ish)
liights: ive had 3 females under 4 of those 100w (but only use 23w) spiral energy efficient floros. for their entire life they have not been more than 6 inches away from the plants. about a week ago i placed her under a 400w
Ferts: for vegging she was just givven 6.o ph (ish) water then for flowwering (which started 12/12 on march 25th) was given "miracle grow" 'Rose plant food' 18-24-16 about once a week. (one week i forgot to water her so didnt get water for about 12 days which really dried her out)
Runoff PH/ room temps: never tested the runoff... i know i should..... the temps are a little warm but good circulation. shes had a fan on her most of her life.
Pot Size: terra cotta pot, maybe 1 to 1 1/2 gallon of miracle grow in it

not sure but with miracle grow i think it has time realeasing ferts in the dirt when you water they start acting... how many times have you waterd the miracle grow before adding ferts to your water

try flusing with 3 times the pot size of just water and dont add ferts to the water as it looks like some type of burn to me/....

next time try to get black gold organic in the orange bag and please stay clear of miracle grow.

id flush your plant sooner then later.

i think it might even say on the miracle grow bag not to water with ferts untell the first 2 watering are over.

anyway flush it up and hope for best.

sad for you man,, but i promise it will all work out ... dont give up.

How far is your HID? It looks like your 400 is burning them. Back it off to like 18" and slowly bring it back an inch at a time over days and observe. Is it sealed and air cooled?

Also, heed what oldtoker says about ferts. That MG is very strong stuff and you could really fry your plants with it. What is the dosage you are feeding?

An organic flowering nute is perhaps 1.1-2.5-2, so by comparison the MG (18-24-16) is approx 16X more potent with nitrogen, 10X more P and 8X more K, and it is possible to overfeed with the organic. You can see how easy it would be to fry your plants with a high dose of MG.

IMO, MG has no place in MJ gardening, let alone any gardening.

no the grow space isnt sealed and it is air cooled i guess. its not cold air its just recirculated air. it is a bit warm but well circulated

i did move the plant 12 inches farther but i highly doubt its from heatburn cause its not effecting the very top of the plant where its budding, its getting some of the middle leaves. also i have another plant that is even closer than this one and isnt effected at all

gonna go flush her now wish me luck : \

heres a pic from today. not much more yellowing today. seems to be about the same

It's heatburn. Those are top leaves, not middle leaves. All HIDs have a hot spot that will burn a plant under it quicker than any other.

Tell you what, put your light back where it was, do your flushing and all that, then come back in a week and let me know how they're doing......

here is a picture of heat stress from the sick plant guide.

Yup, that plant was in contact with your CFLs. Besides that, and being way too big for its pot, it looks pretty good!

i am pretty sure the change from floros to that HID has burned the plants, just back the light off a little and get lots of air movement around tyhe canopy. Like heady said im sure that plant is sitting underneath a hotspot.
my 2 cents

theres something wrong with this wonderland

theres something wrong with this wonderland

thanks I appreciate all the feed back.

when i got home today she seemed to be doing ok, not much more yellowing but it seems to me that shes trying to veg again???? is the leaf coming out the top meen its trying to reveg?

i moved her so shes about 2 feet away from the light. ya it does look like heatburn i just dont undersand it cause i have another girl (middys) a couple inches away from the light and theres no damage at all (yet : \)

ps. why do my images get resized? these are supposed to be 1280x960? it kinda looses some quality

No it's not revegging lol. Believe it or not plants do continue to grow slowly in flower. I agree those spots are no doubt heat burn. Those spots don't resemble any deficiency i've seen.
