so some friends and i were having a debate and thought lets open this up to the internet since collective knowledge better than bros butting heads:
Feminized seeds are typically created by C. Silver spray and reversing the flower to male to create biased pollen and create feminized seeds....
Hermaphroditic plants can happen for many reasons, but a big factor is simply its (recessive/ dominant) in the genetic code
is the resulting seed quality going to be different?
Some are saying that once the plant is stressed into self reproduction these genes for hermie are more apt to be passed along (procreation ultimate goal of nature) become more in sample numbers and will show up more often,
and even though a sprayed plant may be pursposly manipulated, these self pollinating genes will be passed into more offspring in in effort to continue the life cycle.
the other side say that if the plant was not showing before it would not pass along and that the silver spray hormone change is only temporary and does not affect the genetic code, and also that the seeds of a natural hermi can still have extremely recessive herm traits just as strong as herm traits, genetic lottery if you will
so what do you all think, we are open to any intelligent response
yes we know no one would want either- but is there difference in offspring traits?
(LOL...this topic came up while watching Jurassic Park during a session....did anyone notice/remember they were supposedly feminized dinosaurs via lab genetic manipulation but life somehow found a way to birth a male and that's how the Raptor problem started??? kinda like weed right? lol)
