Cold Snap Tonite!

I don't know if I can do this - it's supposed to get down to the low 40's tonite - since my grow room is in a barn, my temps at night are gonna be iffy. If I can't find a heater by tonite, could I leave my lights on 24/7 for a couple of days and then go back to 18/6 without hurting my kids? Would I have to add a feeding to the schedule? Drip system (recirc), feeding 15 mins every 4 hours during lights on. Thanks for any help.

From what I've learned is that any fluctuation in light can lead to stress which in turn can affect the sex of plant. ie female to male or even female to hermaphrodite. If they are protected from wind Iwould think should be ok? May be better to just switch timer so lights are on at night during coldest temps.

I dont think light stress can turn hermies during veg? only in flower i think?? i've switched between 24/0 n 18/6 a few times and everything was ok i'd say go for it.

Switching lights around isnt a great idea if you can avoid it. Do you have a heating pad? You dont need a heater, as long as the roots stay warm you'll be good for a few days. I had plants in an outside growroom through Jan and it got down into the low 40s in there with no noticable effects.

So light change in Veg won't stress plants? Certainly have always believed different. Anyone? Please enlighten me. Also, seed heating mat is a great idea.

Ive never had a problem with liteing changes in veg 2 days youll be fine ,If you were flowering thats when you could herm them, and females wont turn male they would start to reveg so thats sets you back weeks even months.
Treat them like a bicth in veg
Treat them like a princess in flower

Temps should be fine. When the temperature comes up in the AM use room temperature water and it will bring your soil temps back up quicker. Temps flex all the time in outdoor gardens in the spring as long as they are rooted well no problem. Peace

hes not growing in soil
yes you should alter the feed schudle 4 those 6 hours
alot of growers go 24/0 to 18/6, a couple days wont hurt doing opposite, lot of ?'s about lite you can find here. general consensus is If its not a daily prob you will be fine

From what I have read, it has the greatest potentional to cause damage when in flower cycle and messing with the lights. I have taken my ladies from 24/0 down to 12/12 over the coarse of 6 days. As far as 40's go I think you will be fine for a day while you locate a heater. Good luck bro!
