Coco Plants Yellowing/Brown Spots - Help pleassse

Hi

My plants were gorwing in soil for the first 2 weeks of their lives. No Nutes used, soil was basic unfert mix.

I transplanted all 50 plants into 10ltr pots last week

1/2 in soil and 1/2 in coco - 25 and 25

The soil ones exploded and are now 3 times the size of the coco ones

However the coco ones are yellowing and some now have leaves so brittle they crumble.

They have been hand watered for the last week and i gave them 1/4 strength house and garden basic coco nutes a few nights ago.

The coco used is canna coco 50ltr bags. I did nt flush this before use, i just used straight from the bag

Today i flushed them in a bit of a panic ( hence the water all over the plant in the pic) Before that i was watering every 2 - 3 days with tap water ph 6

What do you guys think is wrong??????

THIS IS A COCO ONE

The soil ones with no nutes are bright green and on their 5th nodes ( approx 2 - 3 times bigger)

Really need some help here, i feel like i am about to loose about 20 plants and have start over with these ones if they keep getting worse

Ps this is one of the better plants

:fsu:

Thanks everyone :rasta: :rasta: :rasta:

coco must be treated as hydro,
theres no nutrients in the coco so they must be added at the right dosage for the age of the plant ,,
when i say prefert all u do is fill the pot with coco as normal then feed it with correct nutes till run off ,then put new plant in ,this way the roots have access to nutes as soon as transplanted and it stops the yellowing /underfeeeding like has happened here

heres my basic schedule
start clones in rockwool( formulex ec1.0 ph 5.6-8) or rootriot (preferted,) till roots show ,then into a 4" pot of (preferted)coco ec1.2 -1.4 ph 5.8 ,then gradually up the e c to 1.4-1.6 ph 5.8-6.0,any burn back off nutes any yellowing increase them ,when theyre happily rooted and growing nicely move them intop the 10 litre pots filled with preferted coco e.c 1.4-1.6 ph5.8-6.0 then flower when ready :headbange

DONT LET COCO DRY OUT

Keep an eye on your water's mineral content. I found in my coco misadventures that using the same average tap water on soil and coco, the coco plants would ALWAYS show Calcium deficiencies, even while the soil plants appeared normal. I ended up running calmag in the coco to fix that, of course along with a normal fert routine.
