Coco feeding question

So i finally got my coco and nutes in the mail and am so far so pleased. My question is about feeding. Now when i grew with soil i would feed 3 times then give em plain water. And i would do that up until about week 6 then start to flush. I know coco is a different monster. My main question is should i feed every watering or what? what is best schedule to feed ?

300 views and no reply? Its cool, since the question has been answered with a lil reading. I have started to feed with canna coco A & B nutes. Using 10 ml per gallon so far and alll looks good. im going to up the nutes slowly and keep and eye on em and see how they are taking it.

So far though ,with the plants i have transplanted to coco, they love it. For my last run i used a really cheap soil from walmart and it was heavy and choking the roots. Growth rates sucked and due to them choking i had hardly and side branching and my yield suffered. The plants that have went to coco are loving life and spitting out new growth almost in front of my eyes.

I got one Sour D IBL about 12 inches tall in coco almost ready to flip that is loving it, and got some deep chunk x cheese and DC x strawberry D cuts that are going into coco in the next two days. Im harvesting my last run this week , then still have 30 days on other ones in dirt to go. But after that i am 100% coco. I just love trimming a plant and throwing out the dirt for good.


On a lighter note. My order from Plant it earth got messed up ( they didnt have all the coco i ordered on hand so i only got half order) i called back and the guy said he flaked out and would send me another bail since he forgot. I told him he should send the bail plus another one to make me happy. He said he cant do that but will send the bail i paid for and some botaincare coco cubes ( i think those coco gro slabs) to try as well as sending botanicare bloom and grow, clearex, calmag and rhizotonic all for free. I told him not only did he now have a happy customer, but a return customer

no experience but ive heard you feed right away even at germination and continue to feed each watering?
cuz its basically hydro, the reason you dont feed right away in soil is because the soil medium has nutrients. but since its coco/hydro the medium has no nutrients so they must be supplied. and in hydro you feed all the time unless doing a flush so id assume feed each watering jsut do it lightly since you feed all the time

Flower is 800 HPS, Vegg is 150 and clones get 80 watts of floro. I have soem floweirng but not in coco yet. The ones in coco are in veg.

Sorry i missed this bro....i feed 12ml each of A+B the whole time (other than the 3 week flush) but adjust the additioinal boosters throughout.

12ml per liter or 12ml per gallon? I use 1 gallon jugs to mix up in. Nothing to be sorry about bro, just glad you made it here. Better late than never.

Can't really help ya with the feed schedule... heres why...

My plants are vegging under 400w and I only feed 5ml/gallon... everyone comes up with different numbers with the A+B, I can't really explain it..

if 10ml is working for ya, best of luck to ya.. just watch out for the salt buildup

Haha, sorry bro i meant to say i mix up in 5 liter containers (12ml of each per 5 litres)...so thats just over 2ml per litre.....posting near bed time is always a challenge as im at my most stoned....hope thats clear.

its around 4 liters to a gallon. So 2ml per liter would be around 8ml. So my 10 ml per gallon is close to what you are doing. I think i will slowly try to incrase over time, but increase will be slow!

I had runoff today and it soaked it up. After reading alot of threads on here it seems best to only have a little run off as opposed to flooding em. Is that correct?

I also got a tip from someone in the coco forum ( i cant remember the name) about HIDHUT.com for nutes and coco. I got a hell of a deal on vaportek wall unit and ez twist disks. So that shoudl help the funk . Whoever you are i thank you. If i didnt smoke so much i would remember who you were

well me i feed my seedlings once a day of 200 ppm of floranova grow for 6 days and the 7th i flush with plain tap water. once there around a foot or so i start feeding 2 times a dayand bump up the ppm to around 600 and ph of 5.8 or so i jusy grew one plant to 83" in a 1/2 gallon pot using cocoand flornova nute and had the ppms to 1200 and hand watered it 2 to 3 times a day and all ways on the 7th day i flushed with plain tap water 2 to 3 times that day. and working on a new grow now got 8 seedling i am fixing to transplant from there 6 oz cups to 1/2 gallon pots so i can get em out side by the end of the mounth so fixing to see how will coco work late in the season but with out door growth rates of 2" 4" a day i should do fine

I think thats why "they" recommend 15%+ runoff each watering ~ to deal with the salt build up.

Canna say to go to 4ml per litre a+b ,,,,but its totally unnecessary,,,i,m,o.

At 2ml per litre (ec 1.2-1.4 ish,,,,840-980ppm..ish ) you wont go far wrong throughout the entire grow (veg and flower). Higher nute levels are really not needed (good for Canna and co's,,,but bad for the pocket)

and YES,,,every watering up until the last week of 12/12

So coco has made me and my girls some happy campers. They are loving it! I have one sour d in a 2 gallon grow bag with 100% coco and it is loving life. I hand water daily and use 2.5ml/per liter of canna A&B. I can tell the roots are loving it cuz i lifted the growbag to see if i had runoff and there are a few 6 inch long roots sticking out of the bag already. Just put into flower so we will see how she does.

I have a bunch of clones running in coco ( 16 oz cups for now) and gonna let them veg for a while but they seem to like it as well. Just rooted and transplanted and growing daily. Im happy!

Sounds Great Mr. Nevermind! I missed your thread so wasn't able to respond to your questions, obviously! I have tried Canna Auqa & coco nutes and both worked great. I would reccommend you use the rhizotonic and cannazym along with the pk13/14 when the time comes. You should visit the canna UK site for a dosing schedule that is very easy to use and customize. The canna coco nutes are so easy to use you can use them to "pump up" the buds at the end of flowering and double harvest your plants! PM me you have any specific questions.
