Marginally, if any, plus the stench. Yuck!
Better to get tank/regulator. Tried numerous (home made CO2) methods in small or medium sized spaces....until you get the real thing....there is no appreciable difference.
One of our patners brews beer/wine, personal small time hobby...he has OK success tapping off CO2 that way in his area.But he said he'd never do that otherwise.
Just get small set up.

Totally agree I did the yeast in 2 liter bottles and I'm not sure it did anything. Next run I got a tank, smart valve, and sensor.
