I use these. If the glass tube you speak of is like the one used here, you can adjust the flow rate with these.

Same concept just a different regulator. I have had about 5 or 6 of the sentinel ones running for a good bit now. I have had 1 get stuck in the past 3 years so not too bad. I would get one with some sort of warranty if possible because the cheap ones do have the solenoids crap out. Either won't open or stays stuck open.

dalilguy - Do you use a controller that is PPM driven or just on time? I am going to start off on time based using a flow regulator and solenoid to save cash right now. I have yet to settle on a good calculation to set that up with...... Thinking it is going to end up as a scientific wild ass guess!

these greenair regs aren't cheap, around $200
greenair supposedly puts out solid equipment

Green air does indeed make quality products. With a regular you set the pace at which the room gets filled. Will you be using a controller or a timer?

controller for sure, I'm putting too much into this room to guess with timers
using either the spc-1 or cdmc-6
the spc-1 is pretty much plug into the reg and set it and forget it.

the other is pricier but can also do Co2 venting and enrichment if its hooked to the dd2 sequencer

so on the greenair reg. it has 2 dials, one for tank pressure and another for...??
adjust the flow rate??
