CO2 questions?

M

Okey hello guys , i have never used co2 but now i have a chance and i have some questions....

a) will it make any difference if i add the co2 during the flowering stage
b) if it does have a notiacable effect , i will add it but .. i have a regulator it has
2 meters ...one stands for the pressure in the tank (par or smth) the other is l/min (liters/min) how do i adjust it ? How many l/m will i put it on?

I read that there is only 0,1 % of CO2 in the air , plants could acquire up to 1 % should i found out my rooms cubage ?

What are the dimensions of the room and are you able to keep the ventilation turned off for extended periods (1+ hour) without the temps getting too high?

CO2 is very beneficial in flowering since it'll increase the bud size if used correctly.

You'll need the measurements to figure out the flow rate and amount of time for the solenoid to be open.

You'll have to convert from metric units, but this site should help...

ok i have a tank and a controller , but this controller is with 2 meters as i sayd above one if for pressure and other for liters/min , i dont have this ppm controller like here (http://www.wormsway.com/detail.asp?sku=CDC602) , they dont sell these here, will i still be able to do it with the regulator i have ? (one for pressure the other for l/min ?

As long as there is a solenoid on the output side of the regulator, you can just hook it up to a timer...but you still need the dimensions to find out how much CO2 you need to release and how often. You don't necessarily have to have a digital CO2 PPM meter...most that don't just do timed releases at predetermined intervals to charge the room with CO2...then if they are running a vented room they will change out the air then kick off the vent fans and recharge it with CO2.

Is the regulator that you have off a tank that was used for welding or beverages? If so, you won't be able to control the output from a timer...

Its the one used for weldings and shit , so its no game?Or can i still use it manually like turn in on for 3 houers and then manually off...?

IMO, It won't be worth the effort unless you buy the regulator intended for indoor growing.

How big is your grow? If it's 400w or smaller, I wouldn't even mess with CO2 due to the cost of the equipment.

i would get a propane cooking stove used by campers single burner let it run 24/7 inside a safe fire proof metal can or box or on some cinder blocks , and just vent room with fan 2 times a day . ps dont sleep in room with co2 going , dont use it at night , dont burn your place down.

this may sound funny but can u use a burning petrollamp for small area's ....petrol produces co2 so cant u use that?
im new here so dont shoot me :joint:

As long as it burns with a blue flame, sure...it won't be easy to control the CO2 levels though.

Blue flame = CO2
Orange flame = CO <= toxic to plants
