co2 generator in growroom

'Just bought a Blu-Ox 6-burner generator and am preparing to install in a sealed growroom. The instructions with the generator insist that you must have a supply of fresh air going to the burners to prevent 'dirty burning', which apparently could cause the generation of CO which could be very nasty. They even provide a duct hole for this on the side of the unit.
If I need to bring in fresh air to the generator this will defeat the concept of my sealed room. So my questions are :

1. Anybody here using a sealed GR with co2 generator ? Do I need to worry about 'dirty burning' or is there sufficient 'good' air in the room to keep the generator working properly ?

2. Should I get a CO monitor just in case.....?

This stuff cost me lots of cash so I don't want to f*** up or kill myself !
I'm using an Evolution CO2 controller with co2 sensor and 2 daisy-chained 40lb propane tanks. My room is big, 20 x 20 x 10, with A/C, dehumidifier, 200 plant aeroponic setup, 6 x 1000w lamps in adjust-a-wings.

Well the plants make oxygen, so I think that is your supply. I have used a CO2 generator for a year w/o any fresh air intake. And I have my two rooms now sealed tighter than..... well pretty tight w/o any fresh air intake.

Hey thanks Eminem. So are you saying that the oxygen the plants give off at night is basically enough 'good air' to ensure the co2 gen. burns efficiently ? What do you think, should I install a CO monitor ?

I've run a cd-6 in an 8 by 8 for years without any fresh air coming in,only a window AC.I dont think you need a monitor but if it makes you feel better especially if its noted in the literature..

I've used NG gens for a couple years now, same deal. However, now that I have the idea, I think I'm gonna put a CO detector in. Better safe than sorry, eh?

If your burner puts out nice blue flame I wouldnt worry about carbon monoxide. Its when your flame starts to burn yellow is when you need to worry

That's very useful, info -- thanks, mate.

When I light my hookah coals on my gas stove it turns all the flames from blue to yellow and smells like a Weber grill :D.
