'Just bought a Blu-Ox 6-burner generator and am preparing to install in a sealed growroom. The instructions with the generator insist that you must have a supply of fresh air going to the burners to prevent 'dirty burning', which apparently could cause the generation of CO which could be very nasty. They even provide a duct hole for this on the side of the unit.
If I need to bring in fresh air to the generator this will defeat the concept of my sealed room. So my questions are :
1. Anybody here using a sealed GR with co2 generator ? Do I need to worry about 'dirty burning' or is there sufficient 'good' air in the room to keep the generator working properly ?
2. Should I get a CO monitor just in case.....?
This stuff cost me lots of cash so I don't want to f*** up or kill myself !
I'm using an Evolution CO2 controller with co2 sensor and 2 daisy-chained 40lb propane tanks. My room is big, 20 x 20 x 10, with A/C, dehumidifier, 200 plant aeroponic setup, 6 x 1000w lamps in adjust-a-wings.
