Co2 burn?

Well, 12 hours of Co2 and here we are. Co2 setpoint was default 1250ppm. It hurts to look at em. 19 Rez ChemdogD IX-II's, and a couple sour bubbles. Some worse than others, but ALL looking somewhat affected. Here's the spec's...

Sealed Room
1000's (hps)
Sentinel CPPM-1 co2 controller
Sentinel VCG-27 co2 generator
18,000btu AC installed same time as co2. Soo temps went from 90+ to 80.
ALL organic compost tea diet, hasn't recently changed.

Last night, I took every plant out while the generator was installed, and they looked great, boosting. 180 deg change now, unbelievable. I've brought the setpoint down to like 800, will see if that helps. The plants aren't big, 10-15in, in 3 gals. Can co2 at these levels 'burn' plants? I don't see how it could be anything else.

Update: Plants look a lot better. Maybe the 1250ppm was a bit much for them, at least to start. This Sentinel gear is pretty nifty :joint:

Update #2:

Some of the plants still look yellow, purple stems, dare I say...stunted??

And yet others look unphased. These are from-seed Rez ChemD IX-II.

Noone has experienced problems similar to these when adding co2 in veg??

the only prob ive had with c02 is that when you take it away beware of over nuting my controller broke the day after i gave them a huge feed and i burned the shit outa them all

dunno what to say really have you tried repoting them it might help repoting always helped my bad looking plants

I usually bump the c02 up with the ppms of nutes.

Get em used to it.

There probably in shock from the switch in enviroment.

In veg I have gotten great results from 800-1000ppm of c02.

I find once you add 1000+ ppm the growth takes off. If all other factors are in place.

They looking better yet?

Thanks for the replys. I guess it does make sense that they'll need higher levels of nutes with the higher co2 ppm. Can I use a ppm/ec meter to check the strength of my teas?

What type of gas are you burning in your generator? Natural gas contains more contaminants propane would be a better choice, also keep an eye on your humidity during day and night cycles. Good luck.
