Ive seen it firsthand, not impressed... you get a white pale with a bag of shit in it that grows mushrooms basicly... the growth emits CO2. Theres a little pump that pumps it out of the sealed bucket.Im not sayin it doesnt work, it does but the price is ridiculous something so basic. It lasts 60days or one growth cycle. When its done you just throw it out... or buy a refill for $100. One of those serious profit makers for someone that I wont contribute too.

actually the compost is decaying in the bucket not growing. Cadillac have you ever priced out what it costs to purchase and run any other kind of Co2 enrichment system? 1000 bucks minimum with a control unit and then the costs of fuels or compressed co2.DLB

Yeah ive priced em... i think $1000 is kinda pushing it... Id say $600 is more realistic. And real CO2 systems are more expensive because they are far more precise and give the user options. Far more than a bucket of rotting mushroom parts on a timer. This "system" is like renting. I might recomend it for someone looking for a cheaper alternative to get the extra weight that CO2 provides, but id also recomend that person to use the profit the extra weight made to buy a proper system. Because again, to pay $125 for something thats rotts in a bucket to make CO2 every harvest just seems a bit expensive.

My green air CD-6 propane generator costs about 450 bucks, the CD-12 is maybe 75 dollars more. Each needs a cyclestat to control frequency and duration of burn, another 100 bucks.Altogether with tax your looking at around 600 dollars for a good system, and its worth every penny plus a lot more!

We got one of these buckets...put it in a 3x3x7 sealed box with a Co2 PPM monitor. The highest reading over a month span was only 100 ppm's over ambient. Not the results we were looking for to say the least. Maybe this was a defective bucket...but that is what our decision was based on.

Thanmks bro,I knew about the CAP,I was hoping you hooked up with something less expensive.Continuosly using these refills though will add up over the years,I should make the investment

I highly suggest going with propane and use the tanks that ya use for a gas grill. They are a hell of a lot easier to get refilled as with c02 bottles in smaller areas you might be limited to one or 2 choices and lets face facts how much beer can one make drink from that tap at the bar of his?

I have the cd-6 propane co2 generators, the refills I was referring to are the little tube co2 test refills used with the large syringe.I found a place though where I can get a box of 10 for 30 dollars,I even made a thread about it.

LOL, I thought the exact same thing when I made the decision to get a propane fired CO2 gen rather than a CO2 bottle. It may have cost me about a thousand or so (I got the Blu-Ox air-cooled generator,a Cyclestat, and a Control Wizard environmental controller) once all told, but it is an investment worth every penny.

I know of a grower in this area who uses (or used to use) bottled CO2, I'm sure he refills at least a few times a month. Not very smart. This *is* the same guy who wears Dutchmaster Nutrient t-shirts, however. Nothing like screaming "I'm a grower"!

Sorry for the threadjack :off2: :spank: :pointlaug

It would be nice if we could all wear t-shirts saying I LOVE WEED, without fear, but alas that is another day.

BLEH was hopin that stuff would work but am discouraged now. Propane makes me paranoid but sounds like the best route as it has always been.

I've used both propane and bottled co2. the 20lb bottles last about the same amout of time as the bbq sized propane tanks for me.. almost 2 weeks. I bought 2 alum 20lb bottles for a lot and they cost 29 bux to refill each time... much more than the propane but there is no pilot light goin 24/7 and they don't produce any heat or humidity. I don't wear grow product t-shirts though...lol

ROFLMAO, yeah, he's just another one of those that makes it easier for those of us with a level of discretion to get away with it. :D

And as far as the CO2 thing goes, my generator has no constantly running pilot light, it produces minimal heat and humidity, if any. It *was* a bit expensive though... :biglaugh: It's in the sig, check it if ya wanna... Peace...
