CO2...A Don't or Do

Seems to be lack of info via posts/ articles on CO2 set up. For somthing that allegedly doubles-triples yield. Any thoughts as to the cost of a decent setup and the results of the set up?? Any links welcome??
Just trying to decide if it worth the trouble.

Sorry for my ignorance, but like I said "lack of info provided" (I've searched).

So the Generator replaces the need of a C02 tank I asume?? How is it regulated then??

Yes a generator may be to big. You could use a tank with a regulator and Co2 Controller you can get controller's for the generator also that regulate and monitor your ppm levels. Just search hydro shops and you can find what you need..........I 've read some people get good deals on equipment form ebay.........goodluck.........hopefully someone with more knowledge will chime in..............

You may have the best lighting and nutes good air circulation but a part of a balanced grow is co2, w/o adding this to the equation growth is halted when the plants use up availible co2. Co2 will not triple your yeild but add 30-40% and lessen total bloom time! Tanks are easy to use w/o the fire danger and heat/humidity buildup. Most larger grows use generators to ease the hassle of transporting tanks to and fro. Twenty pound tank in a 10x20 room lasts a little over 30 days depending on room leaks and plant numbers/size etc. It definitely is well worth the addition to complete your growroom that is if you want centerfold quality buds, lol! The folks who shout the danger from using co2 have a point but only if you stay in a room that is very well sealed and you are crawling on the floor(co2 is heavier than air!) I have run many rooms with it and hey I'm still here! Best to vent the room before going in to do work esp on the floor! Oh and legit reasons are a plant aquarium, brewing beer, paintball etc

fuck all that, milk jug, water, sugar, and some yeast is all u need bro... search for DIY or homemade CO2 and you'll find it
Hey Tokin, I was led to believe that fermentation did not produce enough CO2 to raise the PPM to the recommended level for affecting plant metabolism. Have you measured your fermentation supply in your room with a meter? What PPM are you maintaining with that system?

I say don't bother with it. Constant and efficient ventilation is more than sufficient for most people on here. And you've seen some of the buds grown without CO2. :canabis:

I'd especially hold off if you're new to growing. Learn to grow nice buds without CO2, then add it if you'd like.

Great Question!! I Just kind of go by the "Rule to (Green) Thumb" "You Go Cheap...You Grow Cheap".

I wish someone would actually test these "theroies" we have :D

I guess its like most walks of life...Thoughts and other peoples thoughts (Rumors) are rarely Facts.

Constant and efficient ventilation

Should the fan(s) be on and running w/lights off. Seems to me that its just drawling hot/humid outside daytime air. "IN THEROY" wouldn't that be a great time to fill the air w/Co2??

I'm not sure in a few months... but right now my temps seem to be 82-84F w 789CFM fan (2-6" Fresh Air Intakes") w Lights OFF. (20% RfH)

Lights on Fan Running...72-77F (30% RfH)

I keep my fans going constantly. 24/7. Of course, my intake is cooled. I figure I wouldn't like to be in a room with no fresh air for 12 hours, so I don't do it to my girls :)

My temps maintain 74F in flower room, 80F in the veg, BTW.

See that air conditioning vent in the floor there next to the humidifier?

My intake is the house a/c

Good Call... I've been thinking of blocking off a few of my ducts and re-routing them into the room. Seems to be a good intuition/(common sense).

I'm fortunate enough to have a wife that let me take over the spare bedroom for my hobby, so I was lucky enough not to have to do any rerouting or blocking. However, when the permanent room gets built into the garage...

lol, nah NiteTiger, I'm runnin DIY ghettotech here, I have no idea of the PPM...honestly, it could be not doing shit and i wouldnt know the difference, but its hella cheap and easy, so I say why not
