I would say this is a BAD idea. There are other ways (search) to kill mites... but jacking up the CO2 like that will not only waste a shitload of your co2 but also will not make your ladies too happy - plus, this is the first I've ever heard of such a measurement for suffocating mites.... since it's the first, it's most likely BS.

I was told almost the same thing by a local buddy of mine. Not for two hours though. Just bring it up to 10k for like 20-30 mins and let it soak. I never tried it though. I use neem or pyrath bombs.

the onlything your going to kill with 10000ppm is you. its also alot more then 5$ to get that much ppm.
the avid works co2 wont kill shit. even 99999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999 ppm wont do shit to mites.

i have no idea, but i have personally been interested in this idea, i've read this might work. not on just mites but PM as well and does not significantly harm the plants. this has been a difficult one for me to find through internet searching, i've found conflicting information. no doubt it has been tried and some claim success. but i will admit i have not done professionally thorough job searching and can not post those articles that i recall seeing.

How about placing a single plant in a sealed environment for an experiment to see if it kills the plant after an hour? if the plant is still alive, proceed to see if there is any movement of the spider mites.

one method for QUICKLY raising the CO2 in an entire grow room (and house for that matter) is by sucking off the gas from the NG burning furnace that'sused to heat your home. Couple that with an accurate CO2 monitor and a few simple electrical modifications and voila. 10,000 PPM CO2. at least where i live, piece of cake...i use a similar method off my water heater for supplemental CO2. much easier than buying CO2 or burning more NG JUST to put CO2 in my grow room. ahh but that's another matter entirely and i'm getting way off topic..

IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER!!!:cuss:

AND DO I REALLY NEED TO SAY THIS IS F@#KING DANGEROUS?!?!!? IF ANY OF YOU ASSHOLES OUT THERE TRY IT AND GET YOURSELVES F@#KING KILLED OR WORSE CAUSE YOU DON'T HAVE SKILZ DON'T COME CRAWLING BACK TO ME AND SAY SOME INTERNET A$$HOLE TOLD ME TO DO IT! WHY DO YOU THINK THE FURNACE HAS A VENT ON IT!!!! :cuss:

Anything over 2000ppm will harm your ladies, and possibly yourself! Avid is a miracle on mites. I just wouldn't spray it in flower. I recently had a bad case of the mites, sprayed less that a litre of mix on them and they are eradicated! Use the avid and save your co2. Good luck!

floramite works pretty much perfectly for mites too, IME. forget the co2 idea, a total waste.

i think the co2 for killing the mites is a great idea, if it works. but im not sure if there is side effects to the plants. and i dont think co2 would kill something in an egg either

A friend of mine, had mites really bad....He had two big metal garbage cans with a small
hole drilled in the lid......He would put one plant in at a time, ran his CO2 tube through the hole, opened the valve and let those little bastards have it.He would keep the lid on
for about 10 minutes before removing the plant....Those Mites didn't have a fucken
chance,it completely wiped them out.

I don't know how much co2 he gave them, but I know he juiced them pretty good.

Hey Dr. G, I have used floramite and that worked well for me. After one application I noticed that the plants looked much healthier and after the second my spider mites were long gone. It is expensive as fuck but let me know if you want me to gift you an ounce through our mutual friend and I will do so. Also it was recently aproved to use on tomato crops up to just a few weeks before harvest so it would seem safe to use carefully up to maybe week five? of flower.

if bugs are reliant on breathing in order to survive then they would die right along with me and my dog and my bird.

you fly off the handle a lot dont you?

vertebrates and invertebrates breathe quite differently.

thats fabulous but whether they have lungs or not air is vital to them, if that wasn't true we shouldn't have to poke holes in the tops of our lightning bug jars so they can breath.
