CMH vs. mixed spectrum

hello everybody


im looking at using a dual 600 digital ballast with hortilux MH + super HPS


but now im starting to think i should use a 1kw hybrid bulb + 400w cmh


which is better?


I know the dual 600's will take up a lot less energy

but how more effective will the cmh + hybrid setup be?

What size space?

Also if you plan on running a dual spectrum setup as you suggested dont waste your money on hortilux lamps. regular mh and hps will be fine.

I use 2) 400watt ballast 1 mh and 1hps in a 3x3 hydrohut

look for graphs that show the light spectrum distribution ... then compare that with the other plus's and minus's (keep in mind whats important to the plant) and whats important to you

uvb spectrum is most important to me


but i dont know which puts out more uvb : cmh or metal halide?
