closing headshops

Sorry if there has already been a post about this. I am in new york and every local head shops is closing. Well I dont know about closing but theyre going to be done selling glass...

What the HELL is going on?

detroit has had this policy for a while, even though they are marketed as tobacco pipes everyone knows what gets burned in them, so we are further being "protected" and they think by not selling glass that people will smoke less? paper and blunt sales will be on the rise in the future if they dont ban them as well.

Yeah im sure there are people who do it. thats funny picturing that. I bet it was harsh as hell, I've never done anything other than MJ and some Acid in highschool, man that was a trip literally.

Just like prohibition.... a money making scheme with no real effect.... only it will be harder to buy black market glass than the cannabis itself....

Funny thing is, all the glass spoons, hammers, bubblers, what-all-have-you will be gone, but every corner store is still going to be selling those "roses". You know, the fake mini ones in the glass tubes they always have next to the register? Yeah, those are crackpipes. So any ideas for what we could sell our pieces as? I'm thinking that dichro-spoon is actually just a heady mellon baller.

Oh and to any glass blowers out there, I would love it if I could commission someone to make me a pipe/steamroller that looks like a coca-cola can- flattened out with holes punched in it just like when you were in 8th grade, but without the fun of Alzheimers. How is that for an art pipe? I know. It' s genius. Feel free to steal this idea, just be sure to call the piece "Huff's Toka Cola", and send me a repro.

God I hate America, too bad I live in it, going to A as soon as poosible thank god my state has no silly laws like that. Plus my state would kill if glass was not sold here! In the State i live in titty bars & headshops are in every well known city state wide, except the Capital City (my sister lives in) which does not permit either of the 2, but they still allow the rose-n-glass (crack stems) to be sold at almost every convinent store, kinda f-ed up ain't it !

They gotta make sure there is some kind of paraphenilia around for crackheads to be able to use to smoke the crack cocaine that the government is bringing in from Latin America. Helps to bolster the economy ya know?
