Closet soil grow

Hi everyone!

This is going to be my first indoor grow.
My setup:
-400W HPS GroLux
-5 Big Bangs (fem)
-Closet
-45W ventilator

Advices are welcome.

Yep. Don't torture your seeds like that ever again.

Stick them straight into soil and keep moist.

They will grow much better.

either way works . i preferr into soil so i dont have to handle baby sprouts. its no fun when you have alot.

Straight into the beer cups w/ Roots Organic Original soil for me-

I used to do the paper towel thing but I dont anymore. Soak in water til they sink max 24hrs usually just overnight so around 12 hours. Then to soil. Plant seed about 1/2" deep and wait.

Faster growth due to a number of factors.

Number one, quicker nutrient uptake from the soil, as opposed to being starved in cottonwool.

45 watt ventilator, take it thats ur exhaust fan? Whats the cfm rating and what style, ie. inline, squirrel cage, bathroom style... Where ya gonna pump the exhaust? And you concerned w smell? Decent water supply? Do you have a PH/EC tester?

My suggestion, if you haven't already done so or plan to do so, get a BlueLabs EC/PH combo tester ASAP. I know its 250-300, but it's an important and often looked necessity to a good op. And dont waste your money on a bunch of expensive nutes and additives. If you are using quality soil or soilless mix, it's mostly hype. Just make sure it has all the micros.

Other than that, sounds like a good plan. BTW, I use tap water and have excellent results, but not all areas have good water like we do.

Better yet just go by a cheap EC/PH combo meter for $50. Sure it wont last long, and it'll become hard to cali after a bit, but if your in soil, you'll know what your tap water PH is and you'll know how much nutes to add before it dies.

But if you ever think you might go hydro, pony up and get the combo tester.

My budget is poor at the moment, things will get better soon.
For the smell I will use ONA GEL BLOCK. I'm gonna post updated pictures tommorow, and move them to the room, since they were on a balcony for the first 5 days.

I've used ona gel.. it doesn't really work. Your house will smell like fine weed with a dash of ona lol.
Ozone generators work but you can't have them in the same room as the plants and i wouldn't advise you using it in your living space sooooo....
A canfilter and a cheap vortex fan combo is really your only option.

Is it Indica, Sativa or Hybrid? What percentages? Mostly Indica, Skunk x Northern Light x El Niño.
If in Flower stage... For how long? 8-9 weeks.
Indoor or outdoor? Indoor.
Soil or Hydro? Soil.
If soil... what is in your mix? 4.3-5.4 pH quality soil.
If soil... What size pot? 11l.
Size of light? 400W HPS.
Is it aircooled? 48W air circulation fan, and one inline 16W.
Temp of Room/cab? 23-32 celsius.
# of Plants: 5

I will run my operation in a closet 90x90x200 with 5 Big Bangs


Expected yield = hoping for 400-500g

So, I got some seeds laying around an I'm wondering how many plants can I grow in a closet like this? I have 5 BB in but I have 5 seeds left and two White Widows, so in order to max yield would be 10 plants reasonable ?

How many pots can you fit in your floorspace is the real question.
