Closet grow planning

My closet is around 40 " x 25 " x 76 " Im guessing a 400 watt hps would be good enough to handle a closet that size?

Also im stuck between DWC or freedom buckets anyone have some 2 cents on the matter. Im pretty much looking for the easiest one to setup/less maintenance.

How big of a inline fan should I get, im going to be using a cool tube.

Right now Im just in the planning stages, but I would love some input.

you could go with more light if you could cool it. a 600 would be nice in that space. you will get great bud with the 400 but the 600 will give u really dense nugs.

Hmmm unless a stanley blower can keep the light cool enough and pumping through a carbon filter I will do 600. But I live in a very warm climate and doubt the blower could handle it. Im on a budget also I have some money set aside for the light, I plan on getting this making my own cool tube and scrubber. Trying to decide on stuff like ph/EC/ PPM meters, nutreints, additives, hydro setup. Fuck I have alot to do :pointlaug .

Also couple other questions.
Should I do
light------->blower------>scrubber

blower-----> light-------> scrubber

light-----> scrubber ------> blower

Edit I can also have a fan pointed directly at the light inside of the cab witch will help with heat.

Edit 2 Has anyone tried any lights with the built in reflectors on them?

50watt per square foot seems to be optimal.

for a 400watt depending on the ambient temp, should be 200-300cfm
cootubes and relfects decrease power of fan, so do bends and folds in ducting, so take all this into consideration. better to go with a more powerful fan and use a speed controller, to control noise. also need an inline fan, slight less powerful then exhaust fan(taking into consideration the drop in power) negetive power needed to keep growroom leak proof in terms of odor(if using a c-scrubber which i suggest you do)

Stoneguy- Option 3 isnt possible.. you cant run any carbon scrubbers I have seen inline....

Scrubber fan mounted on to it.... sucking air through the scrubber and pushing it through the lights.

Whatever is easiest i would do...

More light is always better if you can cool it. However, is it always better? I say not. It depends on your production needs. If you are just growing for yourself and to entertain friends, you really only need a 150w. Besides, they are cheaper to buy & operate, and much easier to cool in a confined area. On the other hand, if you want to sell your product, go big and invest in the required cooling and venting equipment.

As far as ease of operation goes, you can't beat DWC for little effort and great results. Check out the link in my signature.
