Closet Available - Sour 60 Seeds - Questions

So i was originally planning on growing these Sour 60 seeds outdoors but a large closet has opened up so I figured I might as well go indoors.

The closet is around 2' X 6' X 8'
I have 25 auto 60 seeds that need to be grown this summer.
Would it be better to grow hydro or soil?
This will be my first indoor grow so nothing too advanced would probably be good.

Also what kind of ventilation would be best? Smell is an issue so I definetly need some smell maskers or filters.

How many plants do you think i can grow in a space of this size? Hydro or soil be better for this size?

Thanks IC!

With so many pre 101 questions, the only reasonable answer is: read more.

Soil or hydro is up to you. Fixed or moving lamps depends on the grow method you've selected. Read every thread title, read every thread that looks interesting, bookmark every thread that applies to what you want to do. Then do it again. Somewhere you'll see ... something ... that grabs you. STEAL IT! Rip it off! Swipe it wholesale! The original poster will be flattered and probably willing to answer any questions.

There are some great beginners links in my sig. Look also to LINK-O-RAMA and Library of Links

When you can tell us what method, space, lights and nutes you'll be using, then we can help. You need to study in order to learn what to ask.

Thanks for the response. I got Jorge Cervantes bible and have been reading alot more.
Im also reading alot on icmag.

As of right now I think Im going to go with 1 or 2 400 watt metal halides - Probably the warm delux by agro sun
Im also going to be using a hood - not sure which yet
Ill be building a grow box using plywood, Ill then caulk and seal all edges and paint the inside flat white.
I think Im going to be using a 6 inch or 12 inch fan with passive intake blowing into the top of the closet. Do I need to vent it into the attic or can I just vent into the top of the closet (There should be some space.) I dont know if I can get permission to cut wholes in the drywall.
Im going to be using a can carbon filter with 4 inch ducting.

Nutes

Going to use foxfarm ocean forrest potting soil.
I also think Im going to use the foxfarm nutrient line. Probably grow Big/ Tiger Bloom/ Big Bloom. Ive seen good reviews for this and the NPK values seem good :D
Im still working on what soil additives I want to add in.
Looking good so far?
Thanks for all the help!

My input. Run two 400w magnetic HPS ballasts, like $100 ea., with ceramic metal halides. You can also pick up an HPS bulb or two to switch it up during flowering or to run full spectrum. You should also consider air cool hoods if you can swing another $250 or so.

I suggest you use coco instead of ffof. I've used soil, and I've used coco, and there's no way I'm going back. Coco is everything soil is except better. You can still even run organic. But if you don't go with a coco specific nutrient system. You could run maximum 18 plants in there, but I'd personally shoot for more like 10 to 12, 1/sqft, as even that could wind up a bit tight.Use 1 gallon containers, or maybe 3 liter, if that's how it's measured. Water by hand and make sure you can handle some run off. Soil vs Coco they will cost you about the same but the coco will give you better results.

You're looking for a 200cfm fan, and make sure you have good circulation in the room to utilize the vertical air space to dissipate the heat. Keeping your Autos under 80 degrees F is going to make for a much heavier harvest. Don't underestimate ventilation.

All in all, to do it right, like $900 to $1000 for the setup.
