cloning help please!

I just cloned some outdoor plants yesterday,i did everything right and already today,2 are gone!the stems are getting soft right at the rockwall cube and the little girls are falling over,this is my 4th try,why cant i clone right????Water is ph'd to just over 6 and i use roottech liquid hormone,i sterilized all my equiptment,i soaked the rockwall in ph'd water with green up added.Im really getting pissed off.the last clone attempt i had,the plants rooted but the leaves went all yellow and spotty and sometimes rotted at the edges.

If there getting soft at the base of the stem that may be root rot, water them less. The rockwool should be evenly moist not soggy wet. If there gettig yellow before they root: make sure your moms are nice and green (well fed with N) before you take your cuttings. Its gotta have enough food to last 2 weeks after the cut or it will die off before it roots, that has happened to me. Good Luck

yeah but,i just cloned them yesterday,how can they possibly rot in 1 day,i also noticed that the plants i cloned from had really hollow and thick stems,whats up with that?

did you scrape the sides of the stem and dip 'm into hormone?..

you are damaging the stalk above the cut when taking your cuts...next time take your cuts with a clean sterile razor blade...put the clones in a glass of water for 15-20 minutes...then put them in your medium...i dont use any clone gel or powder and get 90 percent success...any questions just shoot
