Cloning from plants that are 6 wk into flower?

This maybe a newbie silly ass question...

but can you clone off plants that are 6 weeks into flowering?

the little parts of the plants i want to use as clones have some popcorn buds growing on them. is this a bad idea

This currently is my only way to gain new clones, i have no other sources. I have a few more seeds, but would rather save them for a rain day.

thanks

I've done it, but it takes a while, plus they get all freaky b/c they have to re-veg...
I think you would better off with the seeds. plant-m sex-m, mom-m, and take clones...

right on. well plan on taking as many as i can spare off the plants 5-10 prolly end up with 36 in all (my humindy dome has 36 spots) I really only need 4 plants for next crop and then plan on a few into bonsai moms if i can.

hopefully some will survive.

and the bonus with reveging allthough it takes a while is the amount of clones u get cos they go crazy with the new shoots.

yes you can but it usually takes longer then a plant growing in the vegetative state. also regenerating is really stressfull on a plant and cannot continue forever without inducing hermaphrodite tendencies IMHO I have revegged one plant for five years some for one years but its all the same in the end they turn he/she.

just to hedge my bets, I think I'll give both options a shot. Take as many clones as I can as well as reveg the plants that currently flowering. I'd really like to keep the strains I'm getting ready to harvest... Pick the plants with the best buds.

thats your best bet, to do both.

In the future take clones in veg, mark and track them. Then when the donor plant is crap, just throw away those clones and keep the good ones.

QUESTION!!!! (didnt see a need for a new topic - just throw it here) I have some clones i took during about 2 weeks flower. I've already got roots (two weeks) but some of them... are still flowering. Light is two T5HO 6500k's, on 24/7 for the first 1.5 weeks and i've been doing about 18/6.... I just kinda unplug it for a few hours while i sleep. Most of them vegged out and look fine... but i have a few that just dont want to co-op.

One even has hairs turning red... is this normal?! Did they root then revert back to flower?

i believe you need to keep them on 24/7 until they fully reveg. That is what I would do.

I only cloned once off some plants that were starting to bud and they all failed. Most didn't root, and the few that did were like mutants. I eventually ditched them. Part of it may have been they were on 18/6. I had a decent sized veg/mom room and I couldn't change it to 24/7 just for a few clones.

But I know a lot of people do it successfully, it just takes time

they should revert back mate give em a couple more weeks
all depends on the strain/could have auto flower traits if you are unlucky
