Cloning Blueberry & White Widow

After successfully completing my first grow with bag seed, I invested in some quality genetics, White Widow and Blueberry which are now into the third week of flower and are looking great. My clones however are not rooting in the DIY bubble cloner. The clones I took from the first bag seed grow rooted great with straight tap water in this cloner in about 7 days. These however have gone 15 days now and nothing. Leaves are yellowing out and I’m worried that I won’t have any rooted clones for the next batch. I have since learned that both the BB & WW can be a bitch to clone. Do any of you out there have any experience with these strains and cloning? Any tips on getting consistent success cloning these varieties?

No, I have not. But my tapwater ph runs around 7 and EC/PPM is low about 70PPM outa the tap. First bag seed clones rooted great in 5 days with exactly the same setup.

FYI I'm running flood & drain hydro using Hollands Secret nutes, the plants were about 4 weeks from seed when the clones were taken.

get some clean water man and ph it to 6.0...maybee alittle veg food since they are consuming themselves because conditions are not rite and they dont have roots.

By chance when your bagseed rooted, was the water temps, room temps and RH% exactly the same as they are now? Alot of folks have more difficulty cloning in summer or winter due to temps and RH...

For the most part yes, I’m using the Growtronix system to control the environment for this grow that I did not have for the first grow. I can control air temp pretty closely at about 75, I’m having problems tightly controlling humidity with this system, when the exhaust fan and AC comes on humidity drops, It averages about 55% in the veg. room but swings from a low of about 40% to a high of about 80%. Water temps in the bubbler are the same, I’m using a heater in the system, set at 79. The clones are not wilting but are yellowing out a bit. Last night I changed the water, mixed up a bit of cloning jell in water and added to the bubbler, the water ph is at 6 now. I also misted them with ¼ strength bloom nutes. Hopefully they will root soon. I wanted to have the clones into flower at the end of this month to maintain a monthly harvest schedule, but it’s not looking good for that now.
