Clones via International Mail

Im curious to hear from you guys that have successfully sent/received clones from the states / canada to europe... spain
Did a search and cant really find the info im looking for..
Out of interest id like to hear your experiences.. not that i am planing on doing so.. but
what would be the best way?
Would it be better to get them sent rooted or unrooted?
Concealed somehow in something or just straight up in one of those clone mailing plastic envelopes?

i read a while back that someone successfully got clones sent in a plain letter, they were packed flat in a small click lock baggy..
sounds doable if the letter is padded or with a hard back to not be crushed id think..
thx

I have sent rooted clones all over the world. Rooted are better because they can survive quite a long time. Cuttings can't get too warm. They can't take too long either. Although cold weather helps them some.

There are also those new Clone boxes that have a little led inside, try some experiments with spare cuts and see what survives best.

The temperatures now probably help, clones keep for ages in the fridge, but any freezing or too hot moments may well send them to the bin. Foam or bubblewrap packaging may well help

Cold is better? Im curious about this as well.

What if its minus 10 Celsius in f thats real fucking cold.... i would think there would be a chance it freezes??? Which would be just as bad as warm... anyone whos tried it in temps like that pls let us know how successful it was...

Above freezing cold. Cuts or rooted can not survive freezing temps. Spring and fall are best. If it is spring in the north then the southern hemisphere is fall and visa versa.

Curious why you think that's not the senders fault?

It's not like slow holiday mail creeps up on anyone, they chose to send it at a terrible time. At three weeks post it looks like they didn't chip for faster transit.

I don't get the LED shippers either. Now you have a rooted clone that needs more fresh air, more moisture and contains electronics? Pass.

Unrooted cuttings, paper towel, bubble wrap and express shipping FTW ;)

LOL! Mikell doesn't like combining sending illegal clones with psuedo unibomber packaging. I don't either.

Back in the day when sites didn't care I used to send stuff.

NOW I WOULD NEVER DO IT OR ANYTHING AGAINST TOU.

The thing about that is when I spend $25-$50 for overnight or express shipping I like to make sure it is a done deal. If they don't get stuff to root I feel bad for them but mostly I am pissed off because it wasted my money and they failed. Plus I can never fully eliminate that it was my fault somehow they did not root.

Rooted clone for the guaranteed win.

My favorite item description on custom form used to be...

Birthday gift: 1 1967 scenery tree for model train set

Birthday gift: 1 set artificial aquarium plants

i dont look to blame anybody for something that was positive and well meant ,,,,,
yes, timing wasnt the best and some peeps dont have the $$$ to get a better service but its the thought and action that counts plus i may have a survivor or two,,,doubtful but fingers crossed,,,
no leds for me,,,,healthy and unrooted for me,,,s2:tiphat:
