clones taken in bloom or in veg ?

I'm new to cloning, i've done a few, and i've noticed that a clone taken while in bloom phase will become a very very bushy plant, which is ideal to take clones again or to flower it again. While a clone taken during veg will do a normal plant with less vigor i would say...
So i wonder if it's not better to take clones during flowering...
Do you share my opinion ?
That's all !

Best to do once you know sex...not in full bloom. If in bud stage, it takes longer to revert back to veg stage.....and less chance of good clones.

Do a search on Monster Cropping. Loads of stuff out there on cloning during flower. It does work.

I would say grow style decides when to clone. There are pro's and con's to cloning in flower. If you want to do SCROG then cloning in flower is nice. Clones taken at 3 weeks of flower will fill out a SCROG net really nice while the first batch finishes. If you are wanting to do SOG, then you don't want bushes. Instead you would want to clone from a mother kept in veg. However a clone from a flowering plant makes a very good mother for future generations though due to the branches.
