Sorry i have no pic's my usb ports are missed up, i keep getting a blue screen everytime i hook my cam up. Anyway what causes clones to yellow stems are blood red some have brown spots on leaves, and some are doin just fine. Dunno what else it could be i've got proper lighting 2 23 watt cfl's, humidty dome, aquarium heater to keep the water warm air pump and stone. So any help would be much appreciated thx :1help:

Ask a hundred growers how they clone, you'll get a hundred different answers. At this time of year, I'd guess your problem might be the aquarium heater. From my experience, clones like a temp in the low to mid 70's. Make sure they have lots of oxygen, and just enough moisture.

Good luck.

Yea i thought it was the heater 2, but it stays at 72 degress max, and the only reason i got that in there, is i dont have a heat mat. Plus why would a few stay healthy and the rest have problems? And believe me the 12 inch air stone gives them enough H2o, and the cfl's keep the dome nice and cloudy, guess i gotta start over thx anyway :smoke:

get rid of the dome, i get 100 percent cut success with the most low tech approach. i cut them, use no cloning gel and make sure that the cut stays in the water with a 4" sunleaves air stone runninf at max in a 1.5 gallon tote painted black. i can stick 32 clones in this setup, even thoough they are only 1/2" apart, i havent lost one yet!

also i make 4-6" cuts and leave the large fan leaves on, so when they root, they are growing good within a week. and they start rooting within a week!

I clone in a smiple bubble setup. A 1.5 gallon plastic shoe box. 1" neoprene disk cut out of flip flops. a 12" air stone and tap water under one 23 watt light. Have gone 100% on my clones. Once the leaves starrt to yellow I know that the roots will be coming soon. My clones are about 1.5"-3" long.

your babies are deficient in phophorous/potassium. it won't hurt to root babies in as high as 500ppm solution. my fastest(6 days) rooting success started when i just diluted my mother/veg solution (which is always available from the res in the room) to 50 percent(500-600ppm). i get no virtually no yellow or dead leaves by the time a whole tray roots, good luck:) ps yellowing and coloured cuttings are also a first sign of dampening off disease

Sounds like you might have too much light.. remember you want them to recover and grow roots so less light intensity is a good thing. If it's really bright those tips are still going to try and grow and show deficiencies all the more quickly. Establish your roots with one 23 and wait to turn the other one till then. :2cents:

Hang tuff. Took me months to get a survivor. Now I'm at 100%. Never give up!!! If one way doesn't work try, aero, perlite, wicks ... anything that gives you roots is the right way to go.

are you sure the ph is correct???
and i would leave them under the humidity dome....
are they in rockwool?
if so just keep um wet and moist.
make sure that ph is right...
good luck

Many have luck with straight unadjusted tap water. Not me. Sounds like you're in a DWC type bubbler. DWC likes a range of 5.5-6.0. Personally domes were my #1 cause of death so I trashed it and haven't lost a clone since. If domes work for you, don't stop!

#1 rule of cloning is, it's all Voodoo! No other area will see such disparate results from identical practices. What saves me may kill you dead. A bubbler used "correctly" kills everything I put in it. Used "wrong" (with rockwool, nutes and cloning gel) everything lives. Go figure.

If whatever you're trying doesn't work, try another way. The only correct way to clone is whatever method works for you.

I had bad luck w/bubble. Too warm is my guess....

Now I use that wallmart ice tube tray deal. Passive wick using vermiculite. Plain ro water first week, then a drop oh GH flora bloom second week. Under floro, with some shading first week.

At 14 days I have nearly 98%.

KISS all the way baby.

The heater may be optional but, I'd keep the airstone. Keeping cuts short and well trimmed is a good move. Plant material requires transpiration, transpiration requires roots. What is it that we don't have?
