Clone trouble. Help pls

Guest

I recently brought these clones home and planted them in 6'' pots under 600hps. 2 of the plants look a decent green while the other 2 have lots of yellowing and some of the tips of some leaves are dying. Can someone pls help me out and tell me whats wrong? They are planted in ffof with some perlite mixed in. I gave them one heavy plain watering since i brought them home and havent watered them since. Ive only had them for 5 days. The soil is still wet from the last watering.

You got magnesium deficiency. Interveinal chlorosis (yellow leaf with green veins) worst on lower growth. Try adding 1/2 teaspoon epsom salts per gallon of water.

You also got some zinc deficiency showing too. Leaves are twisting 90 degrees. Try to adjust the water ph to about 6 using an acid or base. Keep temperatures warm including at night . 75-85 f. Allow pots to dry out well between waterings.

Here is the lighting chart for your light. Use your hand to judge how hot the tops of the plant are getting. http://www.icmag.com/ic/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=150896&sort=1&cat=500&page=1

hmmmm if your soil is still wet 5 days after watering I'd say something is wrong. How long are these rooted?

dre86: Ive had them for 5 days but i watered them heavy 2 days ago for the first time since bringing them home.

sproutco: Thx for taking the time to help me diagnose the problem. Im new to growing and am unfamiliar with acids and bases. What are these? And how would i go about applying them. I also have a digital combo ph/ec tester by Hanna that i used for an early hydro experiment a few years back. Can i use this to test the ph in the soil? Also as i said i havent fed them anything besides plain tap water although i do have fox farm grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom ferts. I just wasnt sure when it was safe to use. What do u think? Will feeding them grow big as directed correct the problem? Thx bro.

Those clones got alot of troubles. I wonder if a foliar feed rescue treatment might be in order. spray both sides of the leaves. Next day, spray again but only with plain water only enough to rewet the leaves and no runoff.

I am not a big fan of foliar feeding but I bet they will turn green in just a day or two.

Try a light Nitrogen - Grow big, follow the directions at half the first time. Also a little vitamin b would help immensly. Not sure if I would spray the B though... Hormex is a nice choice.

Try the grow big first. Look for directions for foliar feeding on the bottle. Because they are small use 1/2 rate. The plants the clones came from are not in good health.

Were getting a little wild tonight with some foliar feeding. This like getting a direct injection of something it needs like a shot to humans.

sproutco: lol nice way to put it. Well i foliar fed them. Hope they bounce back. I payed $75 for 3 clones and a friend payed for the 4th :fsu:

In the meantime I'll watch over these girls and hope for the best. Thx again

Heres an update on the foliar feeding and how the plants look one day after.

The last two pics are of the best looking clone. She has minimal yelowing and overal looks to be doing good. What about the others tho?

Give the others time, hit them with the light foliar feeding again, let them dry out before watering,,, take clones of the best one.

I just had problems like this with all 7 of my M.K ultra clones......I was using store bought gallons of distilled or spring water....A helpful fellow tested the water for me using a tds pen and we came to find out that the ppms in the jugs were very high 300-500 @.7....moral of the story is use RO water only the water u are using could be locking out some of you nitrogen......helped me over night!!!! THANK YOU DUDE! TESTING HELPED!!! RO FROM NOW ON
