Clone Sex Change...

About two weeks ago my buddy kept calling me saying something strange was happening to one of his plants.This grow was second generation cuttings from seed.The plant in question was from unknown origin...but fantastic smoke.These plants were all cuttings from the previous grow.So I go and take a look and about shit..the plant was loaded with male pollen-sac's.I hated this plant from day one, but my friend insisted we keep it..??? On the last batch the plant hermied about half way through flowering and was removed immediately.The plant had very few flowers,but had resin just about to the tip of the fan leaves,with a very waxy leaf apperance.Looked very 'ghani' to me.Even though the stone was undeniable..we are finally rid of the freak-show.I have never seen a plant do this...has this ever been experienced by anyone?? Looking for clues and answers...thanks

have known a female Holland's Hope clone switch to be male in veg,,, the cut was from a true female (100% female in bloom, 0% herms)

Even minor STRESS (light and temps) can easily alter sexual orientation in cannabis plants... it's a survival mechanism/trigger!!!

some plants intersex, some reverse sexuality,,, tis a funny plant

I was really afraid to even post the question..for fear of being laughed off the planet...But it happend and thats a fact..I guess it was a great learning experience...just hope the Mutant did'nt leave any little future suprises behind !!

Maybe he dipped the clone in silver thiosulphate instead of rooting hormone lol. Probaly just stress though

Edit: I bet your mate is thinking female seeds. Dunno why else he would want to keep it.
