clone root problems

I've been growing for 10 years with no problems. Now I can not get roots on my clones. I was starting them in a super pro soil mix with no problems, then on a couple groups they stopped growing. So I switched to a soil with no additives, still used the same tray and lid, and the roots were back with a vengence. After the first good group, I'm back to no roots. It's been 3 months now with nothing. I changed trays and lids, I have tested my RO water and all is fine.
Any suggestions?

What strain? Is it the same strain you've cloned before? Temp? Using a heat mat under dome? Temp fluctuations are hard on clones. Hope ya figure it out. I have a few stubborn plants that I'm trying air layering on.

Some still grow, but the lower leaves dry up and die. Mostly grow tall and don't bush out. Some wilt and die. No heat mat, but in the same heated room as always. Same strain as I've grown for years. Nice and steamy under the dome.

I would try a new cloning method I never had consistent results cloning into a media like coco etc.

I would try rapid rooters or Rockwool and read up on em. I have the most consistent results with them and once you really get it down you'll be pushing em out like no other. I also always use a sterile agent when feeding clones such as h202 or a drop of bleach. Seems to keep everything in check hope this helps

I have tried the wool, and it used to work but not any more.
I have bleached it all, got new dirt, (c1p mix) new clone gel and am trying again. I'll be back in ten days-

Add one drop of clorex beach per gal of ro water. go back to the wool. use low dose of base nutes + rooting stimulant with a heat pad 75F. after 48hrs of keeping the dome shut then keep vents open and spray once a day.

good luck

Yes, I'm also obtain the best and fast with inert substratum, in my case vermiculite and pumice. All carefully cleaned with one dilution of sodium hypochlorite, sterile blades etc.

The inert substratum have the advantage of can be sterilized in the oven.
