Clone ready for transplant?

dec

Hey!

My clone rooted after 13 days in water.
Are the roots big enough to transplant it into soil?
Should the soil be dripping wet or just moist?
Can I start to adjust them to the outdoors right away,or should it be under 24/7 CFL for some time?

Thanks!!

Yes, its ready to transplant. Keep soil moist not wet. Set the same photoperiod like outdoors, then transplant outdoor after a week or so if the weather will be good enough.

Ok I transplanted as you said and put it at my window ( no direct sunlight). After 1 week,it's going out.

thank you for helping a newbie!

Don't leave it in direct sunlight once it's outside either, take a week or 3 to "Harden" it off to direct sunlight.

I almost lost a mature plant this spring by not doing that, and actually DID loose my vegie garden starts by leaving them out during a hot afternoon almost 2 weeks into hardening them.

Nice advice, didn't even think of hardening it.Will have them in full shade for a week or 2,then put them under tree shade to harden them properly.
