Hey guys got a question about my cloner. I built a bubble cloner my self with airstones and aquarium pump in a plastic tub. The tub is covered in reflective tape and the water is ph'd at 5.8-6 with a couple capfuls of peroxide added in the water. There is a humidity dome on top. My question is I lifted the lid to check for roots and there is this white slimey stuff. Doesn't look bad just a gooey snot blob on each cut where I had applied Schultz rooter. There is also some blobs in the water, this had happened a week before so I cleaned the cloner and changed the water. One thing I did notice is the water was pretty cold. It has been pretty cold here lately so the water got too cool. Could cold temps cause the rooter to cougulate into this slime like globs? The clones still look perfectly happy and have even grown they are about 11 days old now and still no roots this has to be because of the water temp. So I am going to clean the globs of the cuts and put them in cloning trays with more rooter and in a soiless mix so they can be warmer than in that cool water. So you guys think its the rooter turning gooey from cold temps since the clones look perfectly healthy or something more sinister?
