Clone Question

Here is the situation, I have two clones, which have been planted into soil for two weeks now. One looks very healthy, the others leaf's have sort of curled and fliped over but the clone is still perky overall. Now these clones were taken from flowering plants first of all if that makes a difference. For the past two weeks they have been under one CFL and my lighting periods have fluctuated from start and finish times but overall they were on for 16 hours a day. How much of an effect would this have on the poor little plants? Could it have sent it into shock and stunted the growth? I know have them under my 250w HPS light and the timer is set automatically for 18hrs of light. Also we had nothing added to the soil but have now introduced some SEA KELP very moderatly. Seemed like a good all around gently boost.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Is the sickly looking one showing any roots development or new growth? Sometimes they just don't make it. I normally get about 80% success on my cloning.

How can i check root development without remove the plant from the pot? The sickly clone is still standing tall but the leaves are curled. I think it migth have to do with there is no food in the soil which is why i added the SEA KELP. I dont think its due to the temperature

curled leaves could also be from overwatering, you have access to a camera?
You could try to gently lift it out of pot, I only really clone in peat pellets, then the roots come out to see me

do you have them under a humidity dome? the curling might be from losing too much moisture too quickly

very good feedback guys! At the moment the humidity is quite low, about 35% humidity and 30 degrees temperature. I didnt water the plant for at least 4 days and when i do water it I dont use much. Ill have to take a picture for you guys as i dont wanna waste time on a sickly clone.

The soil I used was from a bag my father had in the yard labelled Cactus soil! The PH is just under 7. Also the other clone seems to be really perky!
