clone question

hey all i have limited experince with cloning but the clones ive done turned out just fine. in my current grow when i trimmed the lower growth about 1wk into 12/12 i cloned the cuttings. ok this was done the night of 7-5-06 as of now there is 2 clones in flower 1 has roots the rest seem ok from that trim is this a normal reaction for these clones. grow flower instead of roots ??

and another question clones also
about a wk before i trimmed my inside plants in the scrogg i done a full compleate top of the plants outside the ehat was killing them. so i placed them in bowl water then into what ive used in the past for rootn clones. these clones are kinda thick wood and they seem to be growing but not producing roots. on a thicker stem clone will it take longer to root??


oh yea oops when i 1st done the cuttings i used root tone was all i had then bought some clonex gell i took the clones rinsed off the root tone and gave em another fresh cut bout 1 inch up from where it was. do i need to start over on the days count till roots ??? becaue of this ??

I'm not sure I understand all your questions but having cloned for years I can tell you definately to take your cuttings before you switch over to 12/12,otherwise you get mutated plants often with tons of pistils and single and three bladed fan leaves

It has to do with hormone levels within the clone that was taken during flower. It will take some time for these hormones to diminish and the cutting to start growing again. (=It is not something that happens immediately.) On a side note...time to get stoned! Good luck with your grow.

yes i fully understand this also its what ive allways read but like i stated my clone experince is limited. it revolves around a plant given to me last spring it grew dec04-like april05 in death valley then my friend gave it to me in a sad state of health was heat stressed. mixed between veg/flower had tons of very small buds but was thrown single blade leaves. i trimmed the small nugage and put her under 18/6 and 90w cfl in lighting. this took about 1.5 month to convert to veg and proper 3 and 5 and 7 blade leaves. i took 10 clones from her all 10 rooted established in soil. then my cat broke into the clone erea and fricken ate them lol , them clones took 10-14 days to show roots . stoned rambln argh guess more time prolly because i re cut them when i diped them into clonex gel .

so i am to assume that the larger the stem for the clone the longer it will take for it to root?

and as long as they continue to look like in the pic i shouldnt worry much just change the water in contianer every other day roots should come?

Larger stem=more carbohydrates=more energy=can withstand longer without fertilizer while being cloned. Wait to plant the "two root wonder" and keep it in cloning conditions such as high humidity.

Yeah, definitely wait a while to plant that clone. It'll take alot longer to get going with a tiny root structure like that if it's planted now.

right on i figured another wk on the little root mass they do seem healthy, yea when i took these smaller cuttings i figured they wouldnt get to the screen heres what i cut them from.
