CLONE HELP

last friday (the 13th of all days), I went out to nncc in the valley a good 2 hour drive for me from LB to pick up a cut of swerves sfv OG. When i got there they weren't in the best shape but with a lil help from an employee there i grab what looked like the best one. Came home get it in my humidity dome asap and waited for it to root. Still havent seen any roots out of the bottom and condtions have been good from 80-97 RH and from 70-77 deg air with a heating pad for the root temp to be a little warmer. So i pealed back the rockwool cube a bit to see that the damn thing didnt root!!! :badday: the tip 1/2 cm is brown and no root development. Is there any way i can re cut the clone and put it in some clone gel and see if it take root? or am i pretty much out of luck? Dieing do try what the svf og tastes like so let me know thx.

brain - i pealed the rock wool cube back from the bottom and was able to see the bottom of the stem. you know when you dont get a sucesful root and the tip of where the root should be growing from is dead..looks like that. So should i do a re cut? has anyone had success with re cutting a clone that didn't root?

Greetings stussy22

High Humidity (relative) balances the relationship between turgidity, transpiration and metabolism. Humidity allows for an elevated metabolism which (if the other variables are met) allows for vigorous rooting. Unfortunately, warm and humid conditions are also ideal for the proliferation of certain pathogens; I suspect that this may be the case.

What you suggest is sound; however, I strongly suggest sterilization of the stem and all utensils prior to the re-cut. Hydrogen Peroxide (3%) will suffice; ten second dip for the stem, five minute soak for the utensils; rinse and proceed.

Sincerely,
Charles.

hey, now looking at that first pic I'd say it looks like it was trying to nub up...

if you'd had that pic up earlier, I would've suggested to leave it alone..... :bashhead:

that sfv was gonna root soon by the looks of the first pic. But looks like your cuts still healthy so good luck.

After you have made a new, clean 45 degree angle cut and have rooting hormone on the stem, place the cutting close to the side of the cube or medium. The availability of more air closer to the side will indeed help the clone root faster. After 4-5 days, go very diluted and wet only your rooting matt with water and a rooting stimulator.
Great Success 2U.

Sad to see that nncc or wherever you got that cut from would allow such clones to be sold and leave....did you get a discount atleast??

na no discount. they were saying that the clones were a little "delayed" delivery they were a week late, and were in the BEST shape but hopefully good enough to stay alive. So im not complaining at all. Got my 3 kush cuts PK, sfv OG, and bubba. working on a finding a good blue berry just got some seeds from dutch passion so well see what i come up with.

That first pic had some protrusions of root growth just starting up it looks like.....but that club should make sure they root before they hit the sale floor. How much do they charge for that sfv og cut there?

Best of luck with those seeds!

follow standard clone procedures...be extra extra sterile. NNCC just went out of business like 3 days ago. DEA has been threatening landlords of dispensaries and it worked on quite a few. Swerve USUALLY does GREAT cuts-well over 98% success rate at NNCC. Unfortunately, NOBODY is perfect. If it doesn't work still, pm me and I will let you know where to go get a legit cut near you from an "underground" disp. They don't advertise, but do have a business license and will verify you. A LOT of dispenseries are being forced to do this unless the _____ act is passed in congress next week. Whatever the act's name is, it will force the DEA to stop raiding medical dispenseries, so until then, things have started to get edgy. To top it off, last I read, Swerve is on vacation till halloween.
