clone help

Guest

hello all  I am looking for some help/suggestions on my current situation with my clones. I recieved them about a week ago and they got a little banged up in transit. One stem was broken and the other bent pretty badly. They have began healing pretty quickly though so I am hoping that they will come out allright. I wish I could show some pics, but I dont have a cam,era at the moment. The two with the bruised stems are both showing the same symptoms and I cannot tell what is wrong. They are both yellowing on the edges of the leaves, then turning whitish color. Another thing tyo note is that they were rooted in rockwool, then transplanted into soil. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hope for the best I guess. After a short period of perking up, start them on a normal grow plan. I guess you know what your doing, right? Let us know if we can help you get them growing right. Of course, this also requires some research on your part starting around here at icmag. Good luck!

Thanks sprout. I did some searching here and at the old OG FAQ and kind of figured out what I need to do. I guess the biggest part I have questions on is with going from rockwool to soil as I have never dealt with rockwool before. The broken/bruised stems are actually starting to look better so I think things are looking good. Im just wondering if there is anything specific to rockwool to soil clones that could help out. Again, thanks for the reply :D

Your guess is as good as mine about transition from rockwool to soil. I guess you should pay attention to the fact that the rockwool may dry out at a faster or slower rate than the soil. So, you might have to tend just the rockwool portion in a special way till things kinda even out.

rockwool no problem

rockwool no problem

rockwool transplants into soil just fine. The only thing potential problems are alge or mold growing on the cube, algea isnt really a problem though. to avoid just burry the cube a little so that the bennificial microhize dominate the cube before any competing mold can. Keeping the cube moist is essential, but it shouldn't be a problem it will draw moisture from the soil.

through the mail huh? you've got more balls than I. I barely trust seeds in the mail

thansk weedsnob, this rockwool is just unfamiliar to me so I appreciate the help. I think once the stress from the bruised/broken meristems heal up they will be ok (I hope) again thanks to you both for your help.

I did not get them through the mail, and as far as I know, you cannot order clones from anywhere in that fashion. I was just being sarcastic, sorry for the misuderstanding. Take care
