Clone auto lower bud sites?

I have a couple of autos that are flowering. Some of the lower branches won't make anything, maybe popcorn.

Should I remove these and clone them and grow them out to bigger bud or just leave them to make what popcorn they might?

The auto strain is short stuff #1.

I have made myself the 'know it all' of short stuff#1 auto from short stuff seeds, these plants you can FIM, really well, I do at the 2nd lateral, for an extra 1/3rd return, but as for cloning these babes, I'd avoid that ...shortstuff is short (12-18-24 inches at best) and one of the fastest autos around.
In the sales blurb it is/was claimed that you insert seed to soil and within 2-3 weeks already heading to bud, it sold me, and have been breeding since, it grows great along side the photos, although getting old now in auto terms being replaced by the likes of THC bomb, and like most autos ...just try getting regular auto seeds?

Thats what sold me on short stuff was the speed and yes they were/are regular seeds

if you can consider breeding this strain, its highly educational

good luck

ps note the smell is very 'Williams Wonder', from the late 80s early 90s

HI Vostok,

Have you tried to regenerate the SS#1? I have one that is in preflower, it's had a rough start in life but it's getting there.

Cloning real autos wont work out,

The flowering stage is trigged by age,

So if succeding in taking cuts, they will start to flower without prober vegetative growth and thus make it pointless.

Peace

I don't really think 'preflower' exists with this or any auto, baby shes in flower....its VITAL that auto growers(SS#1 anyways) realize that the clock is ticking and shes rushing to bud, from the moment you germ, any delay in nutes, light, grower inexperience , is gonna reduce yield, and THC, for this reason I have to say this auto is for experienced growers....BUT that said how you gonna learn if you don't do it...?

if you can...breed from her, cause if you don't get her settled this time round, then maybe on the next generation ...lol

Yeah well, it's astonishing they are doing anything at all. They had a rough start, most died, but two hung on. One is in flower and the other one is just growing leaves. It's all at 12/12 now because I have other plants in the tent.

People said not to top auto's but I did top one SS and left one to see what would happen. The topped one is the one in flower.

I also lit these at 24/0 for 45 days. Everything I could do wrong on an auto I think I did and two are still alive and one is producing buds. It's a hardy strain.
