that's kinda wat im tryin to do i wanna not have a mother and just keep cloning off of clones...i think itd be a good idea to just take 1 or 2 clones and massacre them to get the new clones. i tried cloning off a flowering plant b4 and it worked but they took like 4 weeks to root compared to 10-14 days like im seein now.

Be careful no spider mites hitchhike thier way to your growroom. spray a fine mist to detect thier tell tale webs :chin:

If you reveg to get cuttings, try and pull cuttings with zero or few pistils, the more pistils on a cutting the worse off you are

If you put them on 24/0 light, they will deffinately go back to vegging. In a couple weeks time they will be back into it and start growing normal again......

my current situation is clones taken from a revegged plant....ive taken 30 clones so far and all look nice. I did notice tho that clones i took right after the plant revegged took much longer to root than normal looking clones. im talking about when the plant is still makin wierd songle bladed smooth edged leafs. they did root tho just took a bit longer.

Its no problem revegging a plant and taking clones from it and flowering them out,as long as thats where it ends.If you're thinking of doing a perpetual grow with those cuttings you are just going to have massive headaches lol.For perpetual grows dont ever take cuttings after 12/12 or revegged cuttings as you will find yourself inevitably crying uncontrolably on down the road

Skeletor, explain more about this crying down on the road... I'm currently in the same situation as dan K.. I've revegged my plant and its getting close to being big enough again to take cutting from it. I was thinking about doing a scrog this time if I can get two good clones from this revegged plant..

Its looking very good so far and its definitely rooting well out of the reduced rootball into the new fresh soil.. some root tips are even poking out the bottom all ready again!

I have an additional question to add to this thread, hopefully someone can field this for me..

I'm thinking about building a little bubble cloner from tupper ware and a small aquarium pump, but I don't want to grow the clone out in hydro. Is it ok to get the clone started on its roots in the bubble cloner and then as soon as it shows roots to transfer it to some soil and kind of just bury the roots in the soil when the time comes?

Or does it not work like this? I've never tried cloning before so any advice would be appreciated

^^^ ya skeletor u got me worried now cuz what u said is pretty much dead on what im planning on doing....r the revegged clones unstable or wat??? so far the 9 clones i first took all have rooted and been under the 400MH for 5 days and all are doing very nicely...and these first ones were all wierd and mutated when i cut them from the reveg and now are all back to normal growth. i also have 17 more unrooted clones in my clone box that i cut 3 days ago and all of these show normal signs of growth: 3 and 5 leaf w/jagged edges not single and smooth edge like the first set.

Didnt mean to freak you guys out,I'm going to tell you what my experince has been and I did it a second time to be sure. This may be strain specific and may affect some pheno's more than others, but I'm not really sure about that.Whenever I took a clone after 12/12 had started or clone from a revegged plant the results were the same. The first clones would start out with retarded non-serrated single and 3 bladed fan leaves, and the cuttings would be full of pistils. After the plants grew a little, they seemed to straighten out pretty well with the fan leaves starting to look normal, the plant was still full of pistils though. When it was time to go 12/12 with it,I took a couple cuttings from near the bottom where the pistils were less. When I went to veg the second clone, you could tell it wasnt as vibrant mainly because of all the damn pistils, the leaves also started out funky but straightened out. Then I think in 1 of the 2 cases I took a third cutting and went to veg her.It was apparent by this time the bitch was so full of pistils and just nothing like a good "veg" cutting, that I didnt even bother finishing her but went to start over.I've had a blockhead pheno going now for closing in on 3 years, and when I put my new cuttings to veg, they are basically pistil free. Why?Because they have never seen a 12/12 photoperiod.I suggest everyone just give it a try for yourselves I'd be really curious to hear the results. For the most part over the years on OG and here,I've had probably 90% of respondents say they experienced the same thing I did,but then there are always a few folks that say they take clones in flower all the time, and never experience anything negative.Go figure lol

Hmmm that would be a problem 4 sure... i wonder if ill have similar results even tho im not taking cutting after the switch to 12/12...i just took my original clones from a reveg and from those original 9 now have 30 waiting to root. I dont plan on taking new clones after 12/12 i just wanna slaughter 2 or 3 clones b4 each flower cycle to get new clones ready.

Try it anyways dan K... I've had multiple conversations with friends about this topic and they all seem to say that revegging messes with plants and confuses them and they produce less bud and lower quality and blah blah blah because this book or that book or this person or that person told them so. I'd rather just find out for myself to tell you the truth. Its probably very strain dependent as well, so keep on with your progress and i'll keep on with mine and maybe we can make some comparisons in a couple months

good luck

Yea I would definately give it a try,I've never read a MJ book in my life lol I grew up on overgrow.Your best bet always is to try and take pistil free cuttings, which usually means going towards the bottom of the plant.Like I said there have been people along the way that have basically said they dont experience this so with some strains it may not even be an issue.
